no, if anything cned was carrying acend all the way through from regional masters 2021 to champions, and zeek only really popped off in the games towards the end of the tournament. that is definitely recency bias.

then the ranking should not say that they are ranking the best players of the year. they should just say that they are ranking the best players of champs 2024 if the rankings are so heavily weighed by the player's performance at champions. dont you agree?

I personally had T3xture number 1 but the issue really just lies in the limited sample size.
Nobody really takes any domestic results into account so that just leaves 3 events.

Same thing happens in LoL, T1 swept all the awards despite only being the best team for the last 3 weeks of the year.
