Q: @skrossigg just 1 question why does Indian esports players doesn’t reach radiant? Why are they not grinding constantly to stay at radiant like other vct players

A: Okay players and orgs might hate me for this BUT 80% of VCL pros from 2024 were not radiants(from what I know )but Playing at a pro level , 95% of the players never came top 10 in the leaderboard in 4 years of valorant (early act 500rr doesn't count) I'm friends with both SEA players and Indian players on my list and I see the SEA players who are better than us grinding more than Indian players always online always on the leaderboards , these players get less paid(except big teams) than most of the Indian players some of them are not even paid but they still grind whereas in india people play the game only when they are in a organisation or something play scrims or 2-3 ranked games a day maybe with friends to chill everyone has their own personal time and reasons but you cannot get better without grinding loving the game now ther is a little hope with bunch of young players grinding the game. Organization also doesn't care or keep track of their players performances as most of the guys in the org have a background of not being a pro player themselves or not a esports enthusiastic , don't know much about competitiveness or maybe they don't know they should do all this or they don't care once they do their job of hiring a team , there's no accountability there's nothing professional (since I started playing valorant) although these should come from the players itself that grinding progressing is part of the job, I'm sorry if anyone felt offended or what I'm saying is not true some of you might be actually grinding but this is based on what I see on my friend list every day and on the leaderboards I didn't see pros grinding as much as SEA players who are better than us in terms of everything.

Tell that to the people defending said pros under SkRossi's posts saying how it's all because of the culture and pros can't play full time when SkRossi clearly mentions he is talking strictly about the ones who play full time and yet are ass and don't put in effort

Anybody can be radiant on Mumbai bro that's not the point.
If you truly want to be radiant you need to solo or duo queue Singapore server which makes it slightly harder.
We hv a grand total of like 30 pros playing seriously so it's kinda hard to produce more than 3-4 radiants per act .

The thing is, with how much Indian parents pressurize their kids to become successful in life and earn good enough money to support their family in the future, since Indian orgs pay a good amount of money to their players (in fact in most cases it is a handsome salary like around 400,000 rupees a month), they feel like they've accomplished in life by having a good salary and shit, and don't understand that they're getting paid to actually PLAY well and represent the region, not to just slack off and play whenever they feel like it. This is one issue with South Asian Esports and if I'm being honest, I can't blame them as this ideology was pushed into their heads when they were a child. There is still time to change, and maybe the younger players in the Indian Valorant scene are going against that philosophy and trying to put India on the map in VCT.

Yep they aren't but I can provide you another perspective of it. If you are not going anywhere in your gaming career after a certain point of time your love for game starts dying.
Just for example I will talk abt Rawfiul since I hv seen his journey. He is the original prodigy of Indian Valorant. When he first broke out all he did was play Valorant whole day. He was really fat back then but he made it to radiant act after act for more than a year. The first time he played against an international team he was really good too but then things started changing. Enigma became one of the top teams in India but they weren't capable of anything else. And then Rawfiul joined OG huge salary , started gymming, got a girlfriend and now he doesn't hv time for full day grind anymore. He still loves the game but 2 games a day is all he can grind for after practice nd all. He still reaches radiant mostly but if he has streak of bad 10 games that's it for the act he won't hit radiant bcz he can only play 2 matches a day at night.
