My point is all IGL's need to learn at some point, they're not just born being IGL's. Take TL for example, nats is gonna IGL next year for the first time, but before that they had Enzo, who was helping Boaster with the calling at FNC and the wheel goes on
Only for next year in EMEA we have Sayf, nats, Cloud, Jamppi as 1st time IGL's this year. No one is usually ready to just IGL right away

Jammpi isn't first time igl, as for rest they only started igl-ing from this year or will start next year and I wouldn't say they are "good" igls

Still don't get my point. I'm saying I doubt FNS was the IGL of the first ever tactical shooter competitive team he joined and same goes for all players we know as "pure" IGLs. I'm sure some did, but out of the IGL's you consider "good" I would say there are more that didn't than the ones that did

im 99% sure every VCT winning team has had an established IGL who has pretty much been the caller their whole career in valorant
maybe EDG or Acend the only two who havent

I meeant as in since the start of their valorant career, like someone playing valorant and is the secondary caller then switches to igl and becomes a good igl

yeah i think edg switched to nobody IGLing in stage 2

I mean yeah if we’re only counting Valorant sure but most good IGL’s have a tactical shooter background and since it takes time it’s normal we don’t have many from Valorant yet, give it time. I’m sure 1 of those 4 names I have will become a good IGL eventually
