as a vlr user who has pretty good experience in this:-
For certain type of offences you get banned for certain period of time and gets stripped of stars.. and your time to post will be increased even after you get unbanned...
for more serious types like outright being racist your account will be banned without any notice...

I got banned for repeated CSGO better than VAL baits. Got unbanned after one and a half years.
