Mada should've been on a franchise team way before

He deserved to be on a franchise team from the get-go.

At that time, you had victor, jawgemo, asuna, leaf as the standout duelist in na, and mada was inexperienced but should've gotten a chance over other duelists except for leaf.

Just to remind you, Demon1 wasn't on EG yet; Yay was on c9, and the chamber just got nerfed. Asuna was inconsistent af.

The only reason he got robbed of a VCT spot was cus all three were already signed from prior seasons, and crashies and victor were a pair on NRG.

I think at the time, mada was kind of inconsistent and not very well known. It was only until moist where he started to stand out

yes. he definitely improved, but at the same time, others improved a lot cus they played t1. So, now it looks like the other guys were better, which wasn't the case when he was on AND BOX. He was still frying at that time.

he was pretty decent on andbox too. I didn't really follow moist that much, so don't know well

this time last year people were saying MxS were stupid for not picking bdog over him. Stop being hindsight and enjoy him now

ok. heres my counter. did you know about C0m and Jawgemo before EG got the franchise? They played the LCQ Open qualifier against the Shrouds team, which I think had Stewie in it, and it was just coms team cus ppl knew com from cs background.

The star signing on EG was BcJ from XSET, and EG was rated as the worst team before Demon1 happened.

100T was shit as always; they had signed cryo for chamber roles; and sauna was going to be duelist, but chamber nerfs made asun play raze and cryo jett.

Same with NRG with ardiis and v1ctor; and C9 with Yay and xeppa and. Leaf was supposed to be sentinel.

And then chamber nerf happened, and the was rosters were build, didn't really gel with newer roles.

At this time, Mada was one of the only duelists who was good on both Raze and Jett, Apart from Aspas.

just because casuals didn't know about mada, doesn't mean that he wasn't good before.

The only issue I think might've been at that time was that he wasn't 18 yet.

So, even now there are so many good players who are stuck in T2 who would fry in tier 1 scene, its just that T1 is so heavily protected, but T2 is dying.

mada stopped being inconsistent and ended up posting the best stats for a duelist in NA T2, that's progress right there 2 years ago he didn't deserve it but he def proved it last season

yeah nrg should have benched vic and crashies after their 2023 season. S0m was their best player, no idea why he was benched

Mada has been up and down his entire career, on LG/SR back in 2022 it would switch between him and Bdog for the main duelist role as Bdog had the better Jett and Mada had the better Raze/Neon and he was the worse of the 2 (altho probably their 2nd-3rd best player with Moose). He definitely deserves it now but he wouldn't have done well on a 2023-4 franchise team so it was smart for him to continue to develop in T2 because now he's in a position to succeed.

andbox he played very well, however on shopify rebellion he was sentenced to flex (initiator + raze), so obviously his fragging suffered. on mxs, he was primary duelist, so he was able to just focus on fragging- thus, he was very consistent in his skill and really stood out.

crashies won initiator of the year and was actually very good in 2023, it made sense to keep him. victor wasn’t bad either, it was just unfortunate it had to be s0m and fns

i think if u really watched tier 2 for a long time, you would know mada used to be a somewhat inconsistent player that had some insane peaks but also didnt always really perform to this level. i think a full 2 years of development sticking to only duelist has helped him a ton, his old performances on flex were not nearly as good

counterpoint, they had potter as a coach

he became inconsistent after he joined SR, and then MxS and other. I think mostly due to role and spot issues
