We need more simple map like Ascent 2 bomb sites 1mid, every map in val has been crazy and unique lately (suffered to play)
We need less maps like Ascent (very stale meta, one clear uniform way of playing the map that dominates at the highest level, also everything is wallbangable for whatever reason and the choke points are also tiny)
BUT
We need more maps designed with Ascent in mind (no agent is bad on this map, the sites have a ton of places to play on, and for the majority of the map spamming isn't the best way to go about things)
Hot take but maps with more agent viability makes for more interesting gameplay and entertainment. Regions get to differentiate and define their own styles and players can constantly innovate with new compositions.
Even during the Chamber era, Jett was the best agent on Ascent because the map was solved. Less stale maps please.
cameran [#11]that would be a fun permanent gamemode that id prolly play with others
I feel like people on vlr don't think about the massive swath of val players who solely queue unrated and spike rush - a simple map mirror or reskin (snowy holiday ascent/haven, nighttime sunset/lotus) would have way bigger impact for growing/retaining playerbase and interest compared to just small map revisions
guuz [#5]would be fun if they used mirrored versions of the existing maps for a month
would be good for apirl fools or smth, players who hate it just dont play that day and its reverted the next with maybe a seperate gamemode for a week for it

yea it can help with casual player growth but riot never realizes that unfortunately, i remember playing replication daily when i first started playing and now they removed it and they basically took out all the fun gamemodes
