But we need to ask: is this truly supposed to be a level playing field for women? or is it just another example of corpo virtue signaling by Riot?

She dragged bbl (terrible team outside of her and Eva) to champs in the first place. You can look at the one game between them and come to conclusions, but it is just not logical

I think the point of gc isn’t just to develop female talent but also allow everyone a fair opportunity to play, a lot of teams wouldn’t hire trans people because they are trans

flor is not the problem. trans women are not the problem. non binary people are not the problem. the problem is that we don't give the scene the same opportunity as the vct. riot can keep pushing it out to us and creating opportunities, but GC and its teams/players wont thrive unless we show it support. "the players arent as good though", whilst this may be true, its because most of these teams outside of SR and G2 dont get support from their orgs because the orgs dont see it as profitable or worth it, so they dont get 8 hours of practice a day or the best gear or the training they need. orgs wont start doing that, until people start showing the GC scene the support it deserves. orgs are already leaving regular tier 2 scene because of how little support that gets, so imagine how little the GC gets??

also to all the performative activists in the thread saying that they 'care' about the GC, without googling or looking it up, tell me every team thats going to GC champs this year.

GC gets way more support than it deserves based on the skill level. And clearly it's resulted in nothing other than some salaried T4 farmers. They should be thankful to have access to this large of a prize pool and the org support they do get for being 100x worse than random unpaid T3 players.
