I think this may be the last year anyone seriously considers any of the OpTic players to be current competitors. Victor, crashies and Marved's time is tier 1 is more or less finished, we know this is FNS' last year competing and yay is at his lowest point ever. If it doesn't work out for him on EG then this may be his last year competing as well.

Marved, Valyn, s0m are all pure smokes players, Demon1, TenZ, and Jawg are duelists who can flex to smokes so I'd argue those have an asterix over them.

based honestly people look bad on crashies cus of last year but he was p good
and people overrate the fuck out of zellsis' impact outside of gameplay imo when i look at sen while they are losing i dont see the same vibes merchant that we saw in the beginning of the season

Demon1 as a smokes player objectively is better than TenZ and Jawg, those 2 are simply Omen flex fills, I'd much rather list players like Bang, Supamen, potentially Zander, v1c, Skuba, gMd in the conversation for good NA controllers over duelist flex guys that put up numbers.
Like sure theres a huge gap from the likes of Marved and Valyn (objectively the best 2 NA smokes all time) followed by the likes of consistently really good like s0m, Bang, Supamen.
Reason behind some of the tier 2 names/upcoming tier 1 is because those guys have been playing smokes most of if not all of their career and have been arguably some of the best in the roles for that time. Are they better players overall than TenZ Jawg and Demon1, no but as a pure controller player yes due to role versatility

if you say demon1 is better because of his flexibility, jawgemo has played omen astra and harbor for that same EG team and to be honest I doubt he would be unable to play brimstone
