We already dead when they merging SEA into 1 league, now they allowed co-streaming only in soop? How the fck you wanna gain more viewers when combine SEA and allowing co-streaming only in soop, So far this is most braindead decision ive seen from riot

SEA better get them social media online too. Like wdym only TH are active. For the streaming, I doubt they'll make SOOP only for 2025 season since no one thinks its a good idea. Come on jake, lock the fck in.

This was probably before soop bought the streaming rights. With soop buying the streaming rights ( which should be extremely huge for riot to accept because if it's not then it's a stupid move from riot), I think riot won't complain if the viewership drops.

If anything riot actually benefitted more from this.

Soop wouldn't be buying streaming rights if riot didn't merge sea. But riot know sea is a bottomless pit that's about to be merged regardless soop bought them or not. So in short, not only riot saved tons of money, they also earned more money from the streaming rights in the process, and to add no one will watch soop anyways the streaming rights purchase really came into clutch.

Marketing isn't cheap and riot knew that, they manage to save the scene without spending anymore marketing spending.

From this pov soop really looked like an idiot imo.

Merging was an obligation, 6 league in SEA wasnt sustainable. I still think it would be better to have 2 or 3 league, depending on how many team you want per league.
If everyone go to 16 team in every region, then 2 region is good, one per server, if its 8, then we should just go do to 3 regions, Malay, MSEA, PH-TW-MN. Region with only 40m people (beside KR), isnt sustainable.
