BBL Esports BBL Esports Europe Unranked Jamppi Elias Olkkonen LewN Burak Alkan has signed Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen as their in-game leader for VCT EMEA 2025, pending Riot approval.

"I am so happy to get this opportunity and represent BBL for next year," Jamppi commented. "To be part of this is an absolute honor."

Jamppi hails from Team Liquid after having been with the team all the way since February 2021. His accomplishments with the team include a top-four finish at Champions 2021, a top-eight placement at Champions 2022, and a first-place triumph in the 2023 EMEA League playoffs to claim the regional crown. However, Liquid struggled in 2024 as it was the first year in the organization's history that they failed to qualify for an international event.

BBL Esports spent the 2024 season in a similarly middling position in the standings, finishing seventh overall to Liquid's eighth. In both stages, the Turkish squad came just one placement shy of qualification to the EMEA playoffs after a five-way 3-3 tiebreaker in Stage 1 and a three-way 4-6 tiebreaker in Stage 2. Since then, BBL has parted with the entirety of their 2024 roster and picked up Burak "LewN" Alkan from Galatasaray Esports Galatasaray Esports Europe Unranked Padisah Onur Dönmez Docent Kadri Vatandaş Touven Can Eryıldız JrayN Ferhat Yılmaz in Challengers League Türkiye.

Jamppi's arrival to BBL marks the organization's first signing of a non-Turkish player and indicates a new international direction for the squad. This will also be the Finnish flex's first time serving in a formal in-game leader position. Jamppi, along with the rest of the new BBL roster, will next compete in the EMEA LCQ of Red Bull Home Ground, which starts on Oct. 26.
