Could you please explain to me why a Korean streaming platform get an exclusive right to stream SEA League?
Biostar [#6]Selling broadcasting rights at a fixed price is a good business. It's even better in regions where the value per viewership is low, like SEA.
Are you regard?

He's trying to say since the viewership isn't paying their bills and SEA region is about to collapse ( financially) , might as well just let the views dip for some while, gain tons of cash from SOOP and rebuild viewership from there by getting out of SOOP once the contract ends

Dont make it any bettter. Jake initially said the reason for merging to the leagues is to boost the viewership. So whats this then?

Well, I don't know what the future holds, but the buyer is weirder than Riot selling the broadcast rights. If someone offered to buy you a rock for $100, why wouldn't you sell it?

Does that come before rumours about SOOP's contract or after?
If SOOP's contacted Riot after Jake sin's statement then safe to say Riot changed it's course
yellow_donkey [#10]why don't you ask your streaming platform to pay them the money they want? Something goes to Korea; OMG JAKE FAVOURING KOREA ONLYYYYYYY. jeez stop being so braindead
😂 these sea fans are incapable of critical thinking
