They don't go through the proper processes/background checks to enter the nation --I'm sounding like Meloni right now holy-- which means that the government has to be a bit more hands-on with preventing them from entering the country. I'm not saying it's necessarily bad or anything, but overimmigration can erode local culture/traditions and that's just unavoidable if you have open borders.
