Kr1stal is the first prime example i can think of, he agreed with the org in his contract that after ascension he will be dropped (At least thats what i remembered).
Im scared that teams will start to do this more and more often Kr1stal was def a key part of XLGs run but if more and more teams do this it just doesnt feel right.
Basically u recruited an import and just play one tournament and drops him even though hes one of the best players on the team, and ur not guarantee to find a replacement like him in the future.
Also its shitty for the player im sure kr1stal will be eating good (I doubt a tier 1 team will sign him other than a emea or cn team that was struggling in 2024) but in the future players will def be trapped by these so callled "mercenaries" contracts and it just felt like they are pawns to sacrifice and deploy in a chess game.

But in the end im not 100% against this kind of agreement and contracts

thing about Chinese orgs is that they're completely willing to drop the bag to secure a better chance at winning t2. weird yes but at least they'll get a good paycheck. also puts up numbers and is likely to get picked up in the future
