I thought at the end of 2023 season they werent going to pay their players full but what made Jawg stay? Im not sure if he is in contract jail or anything but im just curious why he stayed on the team since he def got other offers from tier 1 teams in NA.

That makes sense potter is goated
I think all of EG got released very late into the off-season maybe around January and most teams are already decided by then except for teams like LEV, NRG, and 100T and they need to take a risk/long term investment since picking someone up so late can be bad early on since you won't have nearly as much practice as other teams.

That would be a good explanation but i just dont see why any teams didnt consider/pickup Jawg
I would say its because no team exactly "needed" him since he played omen/raze most of the time. 100T had asuna (would be an upgrade but jaw doesn't play initiator), SEN had zekken, LEV had aspas, G2 had leaf, NRG had demon1, and C9 had oxy, and we know the BR teams weren't going to pick him up either.

I would assume its because Cyro was their best player in 2023 and that 100T also spent a fat stack on Boostio's contract too so they wouldn't want to buy out Jaw just for a slight upgrade.

C9 - Has a new superstar Oxy
G2 - Just won Ascension
NRG - Picked up Demon1 and Ethan and either had no money for Jaw since chet had to pay Ethan and Demon1 or just thought Victor was better
100T - Asuna is their baby
Importing him is an even bigger risk imo. Even less prac + a mountain of potential issues.
Honestly NRG should've 100% picked him up. Potter + no team wanted/needed him is my theory.
