Temet plays at a level far above his actual skill level due to neon, just like my silver friend. All of E6A2-E8A3 Temet is hardstuck imm3/ complete bottom of the barrel radiant (literally #499) Last few days of E8A3 neon gets buffed. The next act he ends #89. Top 100 radiant is notoriously different from bottom radiant, similar to the difference between imm1 and 3 (which is pretty big). Neon's buff (when she became broken) effectively boosted him 2-3 ranks.
I didn't even need to write all that about temet. It's obvious neon is broken, every point I made about her mechanics and game design points to people playing above their skill level with her. There is nothing skillful in being rewarded for bunnyhopping into people who can't effectively shoot back, or hitting accurate moving shots. That game design in and of itself lets you play at a skill level above your actual level, because the fundamental mechanisms its rewarding and is designed around is not skillful.
again - you can't extrapolate your anecdote to all silvers. what is so hard about this? as for temet, it's like a yasuo main in league. there's a clip of riot august talking about this, where they keep mechanically demanding champions like yasuo, katarina and zed and the like lower winrate on purpose - because the onetricks will make them stupid busted given any substantial buff. that's all that happened to temet, and doesn't remotely prove your point.

the buff that neon received was infinitely more valuable to temet and other high level neon players than literally EVERY other neon player out there, because of their understanding of the agent and ability to hit high elo even without those buffs, similar to yasuo/kat/zed players in league. the average silver neon player runs around like a headless chicken and will likely use that second dash to run straight into a point blank crosshair.
Jesus you think the entire world reduces to statistics? Is the only way to convince you an agent is broken through it having a high pick rate? You know what this reminds me of? The topic of the post: back in fortnite when controller players said aim assist wasn't OP do you know what was their favorite argument? It was that if you looked at the statistics of earnings and placements keyboard players still dominated. It didn't matter what you said or how many obvious ways it was OP or how many shitters were clearly boosted by it, statistically Keyboard players > Controller so at the end of the day you were just cherrypicking. Neon boosts players above their skill level. Why does it do that? Because the fundamental way they get value is skill-less. You can see this in action from examining temet, and many others across different ranks. Does Temet being a one-trick disprove this? NO. Do you know where eggster would be if he didn't play Yoru for a month? Somewhere in Radiant. Where would Temet be? Fighting for his life in imm1. Every agent has one-tricks. But only some agents are crutches, E.X. Prime Chamber and current Neon. Viper used to be overpowered, but have you ever heard of someone being called viper crutch?
when did i ever say anything about high pickrate ??? for the last fucking time - players who are skilled enough to take advantage of a broken character will do so, and go up in rank. now, is it fair to say that they're playing above their skill level? do you think jinggg performs nearly as well on any other agent as he does on raze or reyna in pro play? probably not. does that make him boosted by raze? no, not at all, it just makes him a onetrick. i don't understand where you're trying to go with this - i'm not making any comments about how neon is overtuned - but you can't just say that she "allows people to play above their skill level", because that's not how game balancing works.
