2024 season

i’ve seen a lot of threads about how this season was mid and i think i know reason for why that happened:

1. most of the big teams were shit. nrg, loud, prx, drx, fnc, etc. all had underwhelming season compared to their usual glory. obviously people are not gonna be as hyped for th v geng final because the teams don’t have a history or rivalry
2. the format. even though i had no issue with it, many people were very confused and unhappy with the format, especially kickoff. all the attention was taken away from the games and given to discussing how shit single elim is
3. map pool. a lot of excitement often comes from the maps. this year we had maps that didn’t receive any changes (bind, split, lotus), so there was barely any new stuff happening and everything seemed boring
4. agents. the meta barely changed. new agents were shit and old agents received almost zero significant buffs/nerfs to shake up the meta
5. production. i think rito got lazy with trying to hype up their own events. the champs song was not as cool, no walkouts, the draws were done like shit, and so on

let me know what other factors i missed

I'm fine with east asian tournaments, just not 3 in a row.

bangkok is south east asia, so its 1 hour earlier. Same time as pacific ascension Jakarta.

Masters Bangkok is only an 8 team turney. People gonna call it a mickey mouse turney like Madrid anyway.
