and you don’t believe any of that would correlate to a team’s success ingame? Lol
It doesn't have to. G2 are probably the most marketable org across all esports yet in no sport are they actually top 1. Possible sponsors look at how marketable the players are, how popular the org already is. Team popularity is mostly based on its players, If the entire fnatic team decided to join navi, then fnatic would lose 95% of their fanbase. Same would happen to sentinels, if tenz were to leave for let's say NRG then NRG would get his fanbase. Making a winnable team and giving them salaries takes a lot of resources and effort, just being good enough and hype brings more and with less resources
EU isn't nearly the biggest region in LoL, and G2 are 7th in CS earnings, without any majors won and only 1 final appearance . Like G2 have no Worlds and Majors to their name, they aren't nearly at the pinnacle of CS when it comes to trophies yet they are the biggest clout org. That's why no matter how many Worlds T1 wins or how many Majors navi gets, G2 will be the bigger org
oh my god you are in complete denial right now. Do you have any idea how big EU is about LoL and how big the LEC is and used to be? Do you seriously think 7th in CS earnings isn’t nothing special? You DO realize G2 won a shit ton of big tournaments to actually rake in all of that money right?
Your entire argument is that “if G2 wasn’t at some point top 1 in their game, then they were never successful” which is genuinely retarded. What makes it worse is that you’re straight up wrong too, G2 won MSI in 2019, an EU team at some point was the best team in LoL for the first time since 2011.
