Why GE and Val should leave india

I want to start off this post by saying that I am not racist towards south asians and I have nothing againist south asians. This is mostly my opinion and if it hurts ur feelings too bad, secondly I have lots of family in India and they've given me this info.

Lets start off with GE, GE is a failing company and 100% wont be resigned in 2027, this is because of its lack of a good team, since there is very little good Indian talent that'd put up a fight against t1 teams. This lack of Indian talent has led to a connectionless Indian fanbase to GE, so basically Indians support other teams as they dont see GE as an Indian team and fail to connect with them. So if an Indian VCT team failed how should Riot help grow the indian fan base? They could have a major there! But wait! India isnt the safest country for women so it'd be a struggle to keep them safe as with the players. Imo I feel that I'd be very disrespectful by riot to host a tournament when they cant grantee the players safety. The only way I can see Val make a rise in India is if Riot drops Val Mobile which would boost the popularity crazily as Indians love Mobile games very much.

TLDR; GE doesnt relate to Indian Fans because of its "international" roster, India would be unsafe to hold an esports event as it is hard to keep players safe, and the only way val can make a rise in india if Val mobile releases

riot will pull them back in until then, eg have already tried this. so you would have to wait 2-3 years

I just think that GE being able to field an international roster and still be ass is disrespectful to the game as well as the fans

It is incredibly stupid for riot to pull out of Indian market.

But I agree GE should be replaced by an Indian org that cares more about their fans

I dont think they should but GE should be replaced and it is hard to get fans for an esport that most dont have access too

Economic development is a thing, and it's better to be the early birds rather than be late.

I think that riot need a different approach when handling with India

Holding more off season event is a step in the right direction, which is what they are doing rn. I think if they keep this ( as in investments)up I think they are more valuable than the sea market ( hot take I know)

holding more events won't change the mindset of the society there, neither will it make people rich so that they can buy PCs

But at least it will get people to know.

It's not as if asian mindset towards esports has changed or anything. They are still not supportive of them.

And I'm obviously not implying that more event will make people richer.

It's called marketing.

disagree but no money to put for security tho so if money is high then there wont be a problem with hosting here

cmon man not safe means doesnt mean every hook and corner there will be strange men waiting to do something
some places are very safe and have high security like rich areas of some of our cities
if u put like that then US has gun violence does it mean that every random street theres a dude with a gun waiting to rob u ?

riot doesn't give 2 shits about pc val players. they want to tap into Pubg mobile players for upcoming valorant mobile. so, they are just sowing seeds for future marketing. you don't know about mobile gaming craze here. india might be very competitive on international level in valorant mobile. if there would be any events for it in future .

the pc val players is their biggest market so they care abt them. and i agree that once val mobile comes out then that they shoukd have a mobile team

This is facts. I never understood why GE got chosen but there are competent orgs in India. GE is not one of them.
Also ion think they pull out of the market. Even if Valo is not popular, it's a huge fucking market and Indians even though not fan of GE, still we pull up to GE matches in thousands in hope something changes. Riot won't want to get rid of that viewership. But if things don't improve, they are definately getting replaced by OG or RNT, hopefully OG. They are a good org with a good connection with their fans.

India isn't safe to host "esports" tournaments because there's no money involved so they can't spend extra money on security

there was a cs2 tournament in india recently and the problems were more of technical issues and corrupt organisers, i dont think safety is as big of an issue as people say it is

yes ive heard of that tourney but I didnt include it because I felt it was a bad example and that riot would do better than a 3rd party cs2 tourney

I agree and disagree too, I feel like more people will have PC's in india in 2035, but idk if val esports'll last that long

The reason India has no talent is because everyone there is hardwired to only focus on education. You can't tell your indian parents you want to become a professional gamer instead of a doctor haha, also PC's are probably rare over there lol.

yes I agree with the first part, but their are lots of rich people in India that can buy PC's. As someone with Indian parents the only thing they care abt is grades and how well your doing inschool.

Technically GE is supposed to fill in the slot that was meant to go to OCE.

So I think them being signed is more about the 'Global' thing to compensate rather than actually having a SA t1 slot

No I think India/ SA should Have a full SA team not a "global" team

#28

Yeah I think they should have one sure, but I just think that GE shouldn't be labelled as 'South Asia' given the circumstances, it's misleading

#29

thats why GE should be kicked for a SA team

I don't think it's worth kicking them out tbh. If you look at their situation from the context I gave in #26 they've haven't done anything wrong. I think what does need to happen is for them to no longer be classified as the 'South Asia' representative as they clearly don't represent South Asia. Now that we know there are 12 slots, Ascension is the only way for a South Asian (and many other regions) to get a tier 1 slot which is just an inherent flaw of the partnership system that has to be accepted

yes it is because they are killing indian val
