so approx. 1.2 mil for champs and 600k without them. Pretty sure the difference between going to champs and spending more on salaries and missing champs with lower salaries is +- the same no?

As someone who does not have access to the team's financials and salaries I can't really say. But if I had to guess, I would be pretty surprised if, after last year, most teams are still shelling out the bag for their players (the only team this doesn't apply to is G2 because the org paid for them and probably offered pretty good salaries). I mean Fnatic notoriously doesn't pay their players as much as some NA orgs do and their team is really good. I would bet NRG paid a lot for their team and they aren't at Champs. Just cause you made champs doesn't mean you're paying more than a team who didn't make champs.
