Because trace was in the second bracket and for some fucking reason riot made you can't play the same team from before

But DRX and LEV were a compatible match bc they are from different groups, no? And DRX was the first 1st seed drawn so doesn't it just make sense that the first 2nd seed drawn (assuming that the first 2nd seed drawn isn't FNC) would be their first matchup?

TE and LEV can't be on the same half of the bracket, not just the same matchup. TE was on the same half as DRX so the next eligible match was vs. G2

they're avoiding group rematch like if lev and trace won, they're gonna play each other again
