When i become good the game might as well be dead, is chess viable? Like i become gm in 10 years, so until the rest of my life i will be good or smth like that

But don't forget that they have spent much of their lives practicing and perfecting their techniques and mechanics, they didn't randomly go pro after a hitting immortal once; many were stuck in t2 and t3 hell.

Unless you started early or have passion for it and willing to fail at the end
For some people its a hobby turned to a serious job
Chess is a hard ass game but hey it doesn't have an age limit
