VLR doesn't overrate or underrate a team after the first match of the tournament? You'd think after all the unexplainably random shit that happens in this game people wouldn't be so reactive. Teams will literally have a champions winner level game one week and then look like an ascendant 5 stack the next, there's no real consistency

I actually kinda agree with this, last year we had this a lot where teams would perform lights out vs international teams but still be haunted by their regional demons

This exactly, i always look to the anomaly that is KRU making literally every single champions even in their literal winless season. Some teams just pick up steam way later or way earlier than others, but one thing that is always inevitable in valorant is that they run out

But it could be a lot of same region thing. Like geng also loses to teams in pacific but does well in internationals. Its cause the teams play each other all the time so they know their tendencies better. But new teams at champs dont
