I believe that FUT will not only beat EDG and verse G2 in the losers bracket, but they will completely demolish them and qualify alongside Paper Rex to playoffs.
Firstly lets have a look at the two teams' map winrates:
G2:
Bind - 47%
Haven - 33%
Ascent - 61%
Icebox - 50%
Lotus - 59%
Sunset - 25%
Abyss - 100%
FUT
Bind - 57%
Haven - 59%
Ascent - 71%
Icebox - 59%
Lotus - 63%
Sunset - 50%
Abyss - 0% (one game)
Clearly we see a trend in G2 having a far lower winrate than their competitor FUT on every map (apart from one game on Abyss). Now, lets investigate where G2 were in 2023 Champions.
Looking at the data I can concur that FUT made it to playoffs in Champions 23', but where is G2???? They are no where to be found they couldn't even qualify for the group stage! There is simply no universe where G2 beat FUT.
Finally, lets investigate the individual player performances:
I will compare the ACS rating of the players' most played characters.
Smoker:
Valyn - 191.5
AtaKaptan - 193.4
Duelist:
Icy - 210.8
cNed - 216.9
I believe that we can all agree that the smoker and the entry fragger are the most important assets to a team. We can clearly see that FUT's smoker and duelist completely outskill those of G2.
For these reasons it is obvious that FUT will completely demolish G2 in Group D of Champions 2024.
