both snap tap and the new wooting stuff have already been used in CS and are still allowed by ESL and other organizers tho

probably in CS i doubt it will be banned in Val since counterstraffing doesn't provide any practical advantage but who knows. I wouldnt be too surprised if there are already some level of hardware restrictions around mouses and keyboards players can bring to tournaments

counterstrafing isn't crucial in VALORANT

but still gives an additional 16ms grace period where you can get your first bullet accuracy off before your next a d a d

this is the only way I see how snap tap is useful (in VALORANT)

also releasing all keys and crouching increases friction by 55%, (if you took physics, then it comes logically that sigma F = ma, and F_(f of k) = mu_k * FN, so the increase in F(f of k), or the force of kinetic friction would result in the decrease in a, or acceleration) and thus, counterstrafing isn't even the fastest method, since counterstrafing is around a tick slower than releasing all keys and crouching. πŸ€“
