Mechanically (from clips etc) he isnt much better than players like TenZ, Cryo, Demon1, t3xture, Wo0t

Sure hes insane but not like out of the world insane, but out of the players i mentioned he just manages to win a shitton of 1v1s and also grab lots of multikills alongside the way

Is it just the way he positions himself?

He is mechanically a good player. How many players do you think are able to pop off on KJ and Cypher? He is the best ISO right now and agent which relies on player mechanics.

“Mechanically he’s not as good as <insert the most mechanically gifted players>”

But he performs way better and more consistent than all the players i mentioned, except maybe t3xture and Demon1 (in 2023)

Well he usually clicks left button on his mouse that helps him out a lot

Alfajer had the highest individual peak ever in Tokyo tho, no?
he's pretty good I'd say

I would probably guess the way he chooses his fights. And his strafing

his reaction speed and flicking is faster than those you mention, he was wo0t before wo0t was a thing

are you new to VCT? he's had INCREDIBLE mechanical clips in the past, its just the role he plays requires him to play passively. he was in the talk of best aimer last year.

Alfajer played the best competition we ever had + Demon1, while TenZ played plumbers and janitors

Alfajer is more impressive to me because he put up a bit slightly worse numbers(1.35 for TenZ and 1.31 for Alfa I think), but the level of play and opposition was legit incomparable.

I guess it's a preference thing, I just think Alfajer's Tokyo is more impressive because the game evolved so much and his opponents were much stronger than TenZ's opposition in Iceland

Lol ive been watching VCT religiously since 2022. I know when he was considered the wonderkid in 2022 and was surpassing every expectation people had. But ive been just wondering what differentiates him from other players and how hes mechanically so consistent, this guy has a ridiculous amount of clips in VCT alone, someone needs to do a stat of it

personally i just think hes very precise is what it is. we've seen him play flashy, but he likes to stick to a more precise aiming style. he's kinda like less when aiming, but more flexible.

yeah but tenz had the same amount of time so it isnt a very good arguement, everything is relative, u might be saying this about alfa's performance in 3 years

but u gotta consider he was just THE best player at the time. during tenz peak everyone else was mid compared to him. during alfa peak everyone was really good and it wasnt a clear stomp. tenz just purely stomped on teams and players, alfa just dominated in performance idk if that makes sense. i do get your point and it def is valid, but at the time tenz was just diffing everyone possible

i think that makes tenz that much better at the time, u can only measure relative to the era or ofc the person of the current year is gonna be the best year after year

flicks and reaction speed are not the only things that matter I guess
