Circuit Points are stupid

This site is heavily dominated by SEN fans so I know I'm going to be downvoted into non-existence but SEN do not deserve to go to champs. If LCQ was still a thing (which a majority of people want) SEN would be screwed. They've been getting destroyed by any competent team ever since split was removed from the map pool. They had a good showing at Madrid but completely fell off after that. Don't get me wrong; I would love to see them do well at champs but realistically they won't make it past the first round. Time to fight for my life against the SEN fanbase

Edit: Ok I guess a lot of SEN fans are agreeing with me on this one.
Edit 2: Forgot to mention that SEN would've qualified anyways for winning a masters which just goes to show how even more stupid circuit points are.

I agree I like the stage 1 record moving into stage two, but champ points are ass, cause there cant be any underdog runs anymore like EG 2023

Exactly. The Cinderella stories are super interesting. And LCQ was a great way for a team who didn't do to well in regular season to have an opportunity to prove themselves.

  1. Going .500 is not an impressive accomplishment. The only good team they beat was KRU. They lost to all the competent teams.

I mean the whole point of circuit points was the reward consistency but also I think an 0-9 KRU making a LCQ run played a factor in the rule change

Rules are rules. We can enjoy the champions and hope our team comes back stronger to win against Furia and Loud, who haven't been at their best this year. This could have saved us from this points situation. GG.

i'm glad there's at least one non-delusional fan in chat. 100T did look better though fs, sad they didn't go to champs, but I don't really like 100T as much as KRU and the KRU storyline making it to every champs is too good to not give up so I was rooting for them lmao. But to be honest this iteration of 100T was one of the better ones, sad their run ended.

It's ok, it will be better to watch sentinels get thrashed by "worse" regions like China and Pacific. That way the sentinels fans will finally be humbled.

That's the stupidity I can't quite digest, but still, Riot knows best, and rules are rules.

i do agree that if the goal is to have the 4 teams that qualify be the 4 best teams at the time of champions, then this system is kinda bad.
however their goal was to have a system where a team that does well throughout the whole year qualify through points even if they didn't do well near the end, and in this case it makes that goal.
i do agree that 100t probably deserve to be at champions more than sen do based on their current performance

I mean let's be honest, with how inconsistent 100T is right now they'd probably get knocked out early too. But to watch a team that hasn't been good since early season is really annoying. Especially when said team had an opportunity to win a game in stage 2 playoffs.

tbh it felt a bit unsatisfying that sen qualified through another team winning 1 match instead of them achieving it themselves

But the fact that KRU despite being 0-9 last year, made a run in the LCQ to make Champs might have made make this move from the LCQ

Circuit points are better then LCQ, it actually gives team reasoning to win every game or teams like kru who went 0-10 last year still have a chance for champs, if it wouldve been anyone but sen you wouldnt have made a comment like this, you didnt even bring up the teams from EMEA or Pacific that qualed through points but you specifically brought up sen lmao.

They said in the post that they want to see SEN do well. I think it was more about the way that circuit points work. And LCQ makes for really good underdog stories.

I also might be downvoted for this, but I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart. As a sen fan, it is so frustrating to watch them play so confusing and so inconsistent. I genuinely think SEN shouldn’t be at champs with how they have looked. I stand by my view, I think they are gonna get grouped, the other teams that make champs actually improved while SEN make champs when they are clearly not even on par with other top Americas teams. It is actually so hard to accept that a team that won the first 2024 master now looks like one of the lowest rated teams coming into champs, but it’s the harsh truth.

Blame the shit format. In the first place, SEN should be qualified automatically since they won a Masters event this year. No calculation of points or anything.

Imagine they didn't qualify, that's a testament that the current format is trash. An international event winner didn't qualify for champs. That should be a reward.
