the downfall of drx needs to be studied in the best laboratory of the world
supr [#2]You act like they are not in the higher seed in playoffs lol
They went from being a top 3 team itw and ppl thinking they were winning a trophy last year to whatever they are now, tho Tbf it was a slow downfall with the teams results peaking and then slowly declining through 2023
Skaydi [#4]i mean...that's all thanks to their performance in stage 1 with stax
stage 2 did not seem all that great for drx
i think they used that fact to their advantage and it allowed them to start experimenting. See how they kinda swapped foxy9 and flashback, and decided not to go the maKo flex route. They are deadass just trying to find something that works and I think they may have found it

Out of roster lose 0-2 to PRX without something, it’s safe to that we weren’t gonna do shit last year

they were never top 3 at any point in time

maybe. however, that still does not change the fact that DRX lost to ALL of the teams that made playoffs except TLN. I'm disregarding them winning TS in Stage 1 bc both TS and DRX have new rosters now. Even the win against TLN was not dominant either.
maybe you're right on them experimenting, but it still does not seem good for DRX for this champs run. they highly likely will make champs thanks to their standing/points earned from stage 1, but for this particular champs event, i'm not putting my hopes too high. 2025 is different, and I'm looking forward to them
heavensentsaint [#8]they were never top 3 at any point in time
champs 2022? single-handedly owned the copenhagen winners and gave a good fight against optic

i understand but I still have lots of hope.
I also agree that 2025 is gonna be a big year for them

i mean moreso they were a 5th-6th team who sometimes sneaked to third, the consistency was never there
heavensentsaint [#12]i mean moreso they were a 5th-6th team who sometimes sneaked to third, the consistency was never there
yeah but you said “at any point in time”
heavensentsaint [#12]i mean moreso they were a 5th-6th team who sometimes sneaked to third, the consistency was never there
Actually, their group stage and early playoffs performance used to be good enough for the top 3. They used to finish 5th-6th as a result of choking.
Agx192 [#14]Study starts:
They kicked their best player and 3rd best player and then replaced their igl mid season
Study end.
when did they kick maKo???

the rb glazing is actually insane when 90% of people said he was the worst player on the team until he got kicked. and if you think that zest was the best on old DRX, then i only ask you to look at bleed. stax was igling for 2 and a half years and it still looked like he was struggling with it after that long, it was clear that stax was not willing to igl, and is much better as a second caller on T1. and they replaced stax with flashback who is currently the best player on DRX, so it clearly was worth it. if flashback continues his performance in playoffs (and hopefully champions) and mako plays like he used to last year, they might actually make it out of groups. call it coping, but i think DRX will pleasantly surprise us at champs, especially since it is on home turf (seoul).

It wasn’t rlly the rosters fault, they started to fall of after putting foxy9 in the roster due to lack of practice with zest
You can make a timeline for Drx and see the fall of start with foxy9

lmao you know nothing, DRX was dominant in the regular season last year, and Foxy9 played 8/9 games(didn’t play last game bc DRX clinched 1st seed) the roster started to fall off when they started subbigg by zest in. Kinda crazy how just lied just now

Looking at bleed when judging Zest honestly isn't fair. He didn't always play the best but he wasn't horrible on bleed either. He also arrived in a team when it was already quite dysfunctional all that while learning english you can't expect him to perform like a god and change the team's narrative around. I have to say that yes he wasn't the best on DRX and yes he isn't incredible on bleed either but he does his job, to be fair that is when he plays his role and not deadlock but still point stands

Cool but zest was not the best player on drx ever, especially after mako joined.

I completely agree that he wasn't the best but he definitely wasn't bad

also, ppl refuse to look at his champs 2023 performance when making a judgment about rb. Dude wasn’t the igl, he was a flex playing senti and occasionally yoru and he put up 0.89 rating and a 163 acs across 10+ maps

Did u watch the internationals? They looked horrible with foxy9 during Tokyo and improved a bit after putting zest back in but it clearly wasn’t enough
Overall the reason they lost is cause they kept on changing rosters to see which one is better and that progressively made both worse, same thing happened this off season
unknown_trash [#23]Cool but zest was not the best player on drx ever, especially after mako joined.
Zest owns you lil bro
