FNS + NRG 2025 (super team)

i think it’s time after 2024 for NRG to have a complete restart. it’s clear FNS isn’t built for competitive mechanically anymore, chet is a fraud, and victor and crashies are the most overrated duo in the world.

FNS should be moved to an assistant coach or analyst role.

also unless EG win champs this year, potter will probably get bought out or join a different team as will in which NRG could acquire.

demon1 must come back no matter what. he is the only player in AMERICAS besides aspas who has the aspas texture woot carry potential and with potter on the new NRG roster they can utilize him well.

it’s clear demon1 isn’t suitable as the only duelist so NRG would have to bring on a “main duelist”. the top choices would be aspas or jawgemo. aspas has english experience now with LEV and will be just fine no matter the language barrier because it’s aspas at the end of the day. both insane pure duelists who are world class players.

next they would need a full time initiator player, someone who can actually shoot back. by the end of 2024 some top initiator players from NA i can think of are N4RRATE or verno. both insane young talent who have firepower, clutch potential, and are dominant.

i would say they should keep s0m as well. he is one of americas’ greatest shooters and mechanically gifted individuals. he can flex on anything and main smokes. what else could you want from a player??

and finally an IGL who can shoot back. whether it’s someone from T2, Valyn if G2 doesn’t work, maybe ethan couldddd try it again with more time (off season). just someone who can shoot back.

so ultimately a potential NRG 2025 roster would be

Coaches: Potter + FNS
Primary Duelist: Aspas or Jawgemo
Secondary Duelist / Flex: Demon1
Initiator/Flex: N4RRATE or Verno
Smokes: s0m
IGL: Ethan or Valyn (if valyn s0m can be perma flex)

this roster would be a true super team without a doubt and certainly has no weak link. did i cook?

FNS said he don't wanna be coach in his streams before I think, If he retires it's gonna be streaming.

I would take ETHAN over N4RRATE
and IGL i dont know about that

FNS 100% should not leave. He had 1 month with the team and a role swap for Victor as well as himself caused them to fall behind. Give them one offseason and they'll cook up properly. Chet should leave though he's a fraud. Bring in Potter or an up-and-coming T2 coach and maybe fix the strategic side and then their set. Victor, Crashies, and FNS won a Masters and Ethan won champs. They've shown their capability in the highest tier and S0m is just a cracked aimer. The synergy is there just the comps have been horrid.

I just said FNS shouldn't leave. I don't mind if crashies and/or Vic leave, but if they stay, they could turn it around. If they decide to bring in an Initiator and Flex then it could 100% work and I'd be excited to see if it could work. I just think people are being harsh on FNS and Boaster when they've won so much and just because they are heavily underperforming now that means they are horrible. Tenz 2021-2022 had a lot of shit thrown at him because he was underperforming and look at him now, Asuna also made a massive comeback. If we go into a newer meta then IGLs like FNS and Boaster could go and make a comeback and perform great.

I don't think NRG has enough money to buy Valyn from G2, especially since G2 has a lot of Valyn's friends and they've had significant success this year.

The IGL problem is forever remaining for NRG

I wouldn't put Ethan back on IGL, he even said he doesn't want to, if FNS does leave he wants to stream, not coach, getting an actual dedicated IGL would be nice, I doubt Valyn leaves G2, that core has stuck together and been successful.

I agree with most of the roster ideas but getting an actual IGL in that position is what would be important, someone like Zander, Mitch, Flyuh, Stellar would be a better option than moving Ethan into that role, keeping him on flex over someone like n4rrate would be better
