... This current format for Tier 1 valorant is stupid, im not saying that I can do a better job but this is just shit in my opinion
There is no way teams are qualifying to playoffs when the split isnt even over yet. I mean i guess hard work payed in the first split but look at DRX, they were flawless in split 1 and now losing 2 out of their 3 games and looking down.
The points system looks fairly average at first but now when u look back at it, it takes away LCQ which im sure a lot of ppl adore. And it also allows teams to "Automatically qualify to champs" when its only week one of stage 2 (EDG)
Leo Faria overcooked this shit so hard i cant lie

Riot always chooses the most dogshit format possible, time to get used to it tbh

They need a way to incentivize teams to always keep trying. If we didn't include Stage 1 games into champs performance then teams would just give up after losing 2 games in Stage 1. Obviously would be better if we had LCQ but having it based overall performance in the year is a good thing

By that logic mibr (soon to be Furia) should just roll over and die in split 2 for the rest of their games given that they have no chance of making it to Champs now due to being weighed down by Split 1 performance.

Split 1 already qualified teams to Masters Shanghai, which should be more than enough reason to try to make playoffs. Not to mention there’s teams that had only won 2 games (Loud) that made it to playoffs despite losing 3 matches so I don’t think it would’ve been much of an issue.
