I guess this includes pre franchising cause C9 hasn't made it post franchising
Sad to hear he won't be casting for VCT pacific going forward :(
They have the potential to make a LAN (cope) but the competition seems tough
Masters Rejkavik was probably Nuturn, nobody thought they would be 3rd
Honestly this is such a cool concept and should be done more (can even do team or duos sims)
Yea honestly their production team is so good, they actually provide replays of people getting the kills (ie. new perspectives) instead of just showing a replay of what we just in slow motion
Why don't they make champs become a 16 team swiss stage (first to 3 win/loss) instead of these groups of 4
I think he's rated, I think people weren't worried about his fragging power more his ability to igl the team
This was such a cool way of doing the showmatch with the silhouettes drafting
the lack of understanding of how relationship building is insane
I think to introduce it, can just start with blind pick with 1 blind ban each per team (ie. both teams COULD ban the same agent)
Guess the +vanity -vanity train for Cloud9 ends here
Pro teams should learn economy management more. There have been too many times I see a team starting the round with 1 player at 7k and another at like 1k credits
I like Sliggy a lot, but he does need to have some energy sometimes when clutches happen
This is what I meant, like they "earned" it instead of just invited
C9 going international for the first time since franchising :)
C9 -> Houston Rockets (Had some good deep playoff runs but recently is just building young core missing palyoffs)
Imagine going +31 just to get dropped. Hope Krystal finds a good team
Wait you said guaranteed tier 1 for 2 years minimum. Isn't it only 1 year and they have to maintain their spot to stay in the league
The league NALCS finals back in like 2015 was held in Scotiabank. So probably there again
Do you think that one or two signings are getting paid the 400k/year?
Granted there are additional staff like editors etc but what Riot get out of it is not worth the investment
Start with a 16 team swiss stage but 1st seed starts at 1-0 and 4th seed starts at 0-1
More incentive to be 1st seed. But 4th seed can still play at minimum 2 games
What a grind
Since EDG and FPX are the top 2 in points and one of the two are guaranteed to go to Champs (Given that the lowest they can possibly place together is 3rd and 4th). If one qualifies as a 3rd place seed, the other one will qualify based off of points.
They need a way to incentivize teams to always keep trying. If we didn't include Stage 1 games into champs performance then teams would just give up after losing 2 games in Stage 1. Obviously would be better if we had LCQ but having it based overall performance in the year is a good thing
Agreed, they're trying to build to actually be able to win a LAN instead of just attending every single one and bombing out
If were going legacy here Hamilton >> Verstappen (give him a few more years to catch up with his recent dominance)
how did leaf get snaked? I just thought C9 was doing a paycut for everyone at the time
C9, the best regular season team and biggest chokers in playoffs
Also oxygen cause Mitch (Ex C9)
wait do they actually? thats crazy that Madrid gave basically nothing then
But it would be map differential, so a 2-0 would make the differential same as Heretics
While this is fair, would you really want a team that goes 1-4 (20% WR) to make playoffs? Doesn't seem fair for a team on the otherside who likely goes 3-3 (50% WR) in this case to miss playoffs.
To be fair, they probably didn't see Yay/Vanity lineup working for a championship (honestly might've worked) so financially why pay so much to someone if they're going to be mid when you can pay another guy (some T2 player) a lot less to achieve slightly worse results.
Still they shouldn't have paid Yay that much to begin with if they were going to falter so soon
I know Pacific has a 2 win minimum for a team to qualify for playoffs, does Americas have the same rule?
They really opened the floodgates
I mean ACEND won 2021 Champions and they have a quite small presence
I get that you want to give the 1st seed the advantage, but like why not make the 2/3rd matches a double elimination to qualify into the other 2 spots. This might cause the same issue where the 2nd and 3rd place team from the same side of the bracket might just be better. Double elimination is where its at
