While this is fair, would you really want a team that goes 1-4 (20% WR) to make playoffs? Doesn't seem fair for a team on the otherside who likely goes 3-3 (50% WR) in this case to miss playoffs.

To be fair, they probably didn't see Yay/Vanity lineup working for a championship (honestly might've worked) so financially why pay so much to someone if they're going to be mid when you can pay another guy (some T2 player) a lot less to achieve slightly worse results.
Still they shouldn't have paid Yay that much to begin with if they were going to falter so soon
I know Pacific has a 2 win minimum for a team to qualify for playoffs, does Americas have the same rule?
They really opened the floodgates
I mean ACEND won 2021 Champions and they have a quite small presence
I get that you want to give the 1st seed the advantage, but like why not make the 2/3rd matches a double elimination to qualify into the other 2 spots. This might cause the same issue where the 2nd and 3rd place team from the same side of the bracket might just be better. Double elimination is where its at
I just remember this thing that Steel said that his strat on 100T when they played was to find the site Cned was on and to hit the other site
Please remove Vanity, he hasn't done anything for this org in any of his 10,000 stints
Unfortunate for your bank
yes but also KC said that they had like 104 scrim wins with no losses at some point didn't they?
I feel like walkouts in general have been not as hype this masters. Feel like the lack of Boaster/Benkai just changes it
Assuming the right matches for 3rd place won, the addition of teams like NRG, FNC, DRX and TE would be crazy
can anyone explain why icy is so good? Im looking at his stats and its nothing crazy like what
Unfortunate for EDG, always want to see them prosper. Loud just too good right now
All first seeds won, so no interregional matchups :)
I guess it makes sense, that's what's left of the core that played last year
Looking at the way Riot treated League's gamemode shows the poor future of Valorant's gamemodes having any creativity
Obviously not the greatest reason considering the excess costs, but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPVYKg_Xod0 is a good video
Like I personally don't watch but Valorant Curious always seems to try and make new gamemodes or challenges to be creative
Although it looks bad you get the 50k salary without having any expenses (housing + food is usually covered for you). So realistically you are getting a lot more in benefits as well compared to just the 50k.
All things considered that is a tough call :(
Didn't TSM dump the NALCS which kind of ruins their relationship with RIOT?
I assume this was for regular season Americas where LOUD got first seed and won the playoffs for Tokyo as well
2023 MVP: Alfajer
COACH OF THE YEAR: Potter
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Something
I really like his lineups and cool things, but sometimes its cringe that he roasts others/randoms while doing so
tbf the thread didn't say it was the truth just a choice factor
prx winning would be huge, since pacific hasn't won yet. Loud winning would be cool as back to back champs but it would be cool for each league to win a champs
Okay but for a counter argument 100T have had their main core since last year (all they did was replace Will with Cryo) and appear to have not met expectations so although it does apply, sometimes you just need to pull the plug
Okay but you forgot W Streamer for Mr. sOmuel

The difference for league is that teams buy-in for the franchised league where valorant teams are getting paid
wasnt officially released, they had to vpn download/play I believe
