Was the old ZETA roster better than the current one?

The old ZETA almost topped the best team in the world, placed third in masters Reykjavík 2022 and made history for Japan Valorant. They won LCQ (Even tho they placed last in Champs 2023)

What are ur opinions?

Chamber nerfs killed them.
Laz cannot carry without chamber.
Look at how he used to take opening duels and win majority of them since he had an escape card(tp). He cannot do this shit with kj since kj has no ability which helps her take the first duel.

I think this was a large part, but people underestimate how much the omen meta killed sugarzer0s performance. I think he looked like one of, if not the best, smokes players in the world with his util and aim before the Astra nerf. His play style doesn't fit well with the omen aggressive play style.

Laz is decent even without Chamber

Arguably speaking, it should’ve been better. Yuran and hironronn are much better shooters than crow and tenn. The blunder, however, was signing hironronn. Hironronn is great, but his roles overlapped with Laz’s roles. Legit one of Zeta’s problems last year was roles and they just walked straight into it… again. (I actually somewhat predicted they would switch Laz’s and Hironronn’s roles last match because they needed to rebuild hironronn’s confidence by putting him on a comfort role… not that it really did much)

Tldr; team should be better but isn’t due to role issues, just like 2023 Zeta

Which is why I've been saying they need a better management and They need someone who wouldn't fuck up their roster moves 😅

The fact it took them this long (including becoming the worse of the two Japanese teams) to realize the role issues is a fuckin disasterclass from their 6 coaches

Carlao is ZETA's opp, the players can be great and have results to back them up (the rookies in t2 and the core from previous events) just lack a good enough coach, pretty sure Carlao's timeout winrate was like 25% of smth.

No. I've already said this before and I'm going to say it again. It's better to know from the start that you will lose rather than giving hope and doing dumb shit that makes you lose.

Current ZETA roster sucks and we all expect them to lose. Previous ZETA roster had that flame to win but one guy (cr0w) sabotaged the team. Once or twice can be a coincidence, but that guy threw quite literally every impact round ever.

I still remember that fracture map vs T1, this round. I sincerely mean it when I say that no sane human being ever pushes that when the bomb is so close to being defused. There is no excuse. He pushes that and loses the round, makes it 12-10 which isn't completely over but that's the biggest mental fuck ever. Then after that he decides that last round's throw wasn't enough and so he dies with full Breach util at 12-10.

That scum is now at ZETA stealing paychecks for basically doing nothing.

Not to be that guy but personally that LCQ win was just luck imo. Like Zeta only won 3 matches ( one of them was that 21-19 match )

The only reason they won against TS twice is just because Laz playing chamber again (and also both Dep and Sugarz3ro was fragging hard)
