CN crowd: Unpopular opinion

Are they the most sportsmanlike crowd in the world? May be not but I would much rather have a crowd that shows up in games where their home teams don't participate albeit they hate on one specific team. Crowd was actually roaring for Team Heretics today, they picked a side for obvious reasons. It's unfortunate for the GenG boys but people play against away crowds all the time. It's not worse than empty arenas in Brazil or Turkey.

Woot and benjy are very famous in bilibili. They have been streaming for a while now and Chinese like flashy type of players.

100% agreed. Some pacific fans (usually the prx flairs) are whining loudly in the corner but they don't speak for the rest of us. I'm just thankful that today the crowd even showed up and though they favoured a side, that is to be expected in any sport.

The crowd should get more credit than it's being given right now. I think people just want to find a Valorant related reason to go after China but considering how respectful the crowd has been towards all the teams, especially GenG considering the circumstances, it's hard for a rational clear-minded person not to give them the credit they deserve.

Is it not obvious? They hate the GenG org, so who are they gonna root for? Their opponents, who also happened to do some good PR(woOt tweeting about SH and benjy talking about the CN love etc).

because woot and benjy show their love on bilibili. woot had 86K followers on his bilibili account since they beat edg. 10k viewers on his stream every night

Yeah rivalries exist everywhere, and living in a heavy football oriented city + country I can assure anyone out there that there are times where there's going to be clear sides people are going to pick and you kind of just have to accept that it's going to be that way.

In sports you’ll see crowds booing and jeering at teams all the time. In valorant you get the community throwing a fit at the crowd just clapping instead of going crazy for a team they don’t like

they showed up because they already paid for the tickets, for the first international final in their home country, what are we saying?

I think they're referring to how LOCK//IN and Champs '22 had lots of empty venues while every match in Shanghai was sold out regardless of the teams playing.

Because there’s a shit ton of people in China maybe??? You do realize how big Valorant is in China right, it’s by far the biggest out of every country, the seats selling out will always be a given. Are we actually giving them credit for showing up because that’s just pathetic.

As a westerner myself we can't be shoving up our morals and values in other people. Asian countries are extremely nationalistic. It is what it is. You go to Philippines and tell them whatever micro island is not theirs they would legit hate you and everything you associate with. Some people just can't wrap their head around it and others are just xenophobic.

There are shit ton of people in Brazil, Turkey as well and they couldn't fill up the arena. Passionate for the game is important, treatment towards teams can vary based on many things. How is it hard to understand?

Valo is still not even top 10 in china most likely. And attending a game without no cn team and then cheering for geng win at end and staying till the end is lot lot better. Bro pls for you own sake never watch Cs or sports, you won't be able to handle their crowds with how sensitive you are.

Oh yes absolutely! I've seen football fans boo their own team at times. Valorant's much milder in that aspect for sure.

its funny you say that cause the fiance/gf of a pro player on g2 literally just had a meltdown on twitter against a caster/analyst for saying the player (nexa) played badly at iem dallas

but yea i don’t see val crowds becoming like cs crowds lol

Instead of letting your sped side type for a bit there, maybe consider the fact that I literally do not care whether or not the crowd didn’t cheer for GENG besides the fact that it’s funny. I am pointing out how stupid people look for giving the crowd their flowers for being there to watch the first int final in their country that literally has the biggest Val fanbase. Don’t project on me w ur sensitivity lol.
