Ex-CS pros

How is this possible that 30+ yo ex CS GO pros are now playing in top teams in Valo? Not trying to be mean but I am new to Valo and recently started playing it and I noticed there are many CS players owning the competition, does this mean that the game is easier than CS or there are just no new talents yet?

The game is similar to CS so its easier to transfer from CS to val, although alot of upcoming players never played CS and are owning. Both games are difficult in their own ways

The game is IGL-wise the same as csgo just with other maps.

Obv ppl with 6+ years of experience are good

Multiple reasons:

1. Mechanically speaking (aim + movement), Valorant is quite a bit easier than CSGO, unless you're playing high mobility agents like Jett and Raze, which you typically don't see the old CS pros on
2. Valorant has a lot of emphasis on gamesense and tactics/strategy on pro level, so the CS pros who have years upon years of experience are naturally going to last longer here since the impact of their gamesense is quite high

There is a lot of new talent, and you tend to see them on duelist roles, and you'll see a lot of IGLs that come from CSGO (ANGE1, Ethan, boaster, FNS, ScreaM). It makes a lot of sense.

Valorant is mechanically much easier than CS indeed. I wish NiKo goes pro in Valorant when he retires in CS, he would easily shut down NA val because they would never get chance to win anything if he decided to play in EU teams

with older cs players they are often failures in valorant unless they are IGLing, there are a few exceptions but generally you need the experienced leader with good macro ideas to herd the younger flashier players with good util that fit the valorant mould easily. some of the older cs players couldnt adapt as well as others to the fast pace and adaptability that valorant needs at the top level
