If two more teams join thru ascension by 2026 how are group stages going to work besides swiss stage???

I may be wrong but I thought at some point 2 teams will get promoted per year.

12 teams max. Winning ascension only gets u to tier one for 2 years, then u drop back down

So: (just using Americas as an example)
2024: 11 teams(+G2)
2025: 12 teams(+ascension winner)
2026: 12 teams(-G2, +ascension winner)
2027: 12 teams(-2025 ascension winner, + ascension winner)

relegation would make franchising completely pointless and be terrible for the esport

no it will be 14 teams- i don’t know starting when but they said they will promote and relegate two teams each year
