Stop giving credit to these clowns please they have no idea what they’re talking about and are wrong 90% of the time
I think it's interesting that you decided to post a thread to insult a group of people who have devoted their career to learning as much as they can about Valorant and sharing their knowledge with a broad audience in a way that is interesting and engaging.
Analysts spend endless hours reviewing VODs from teams not only in their region, but all around the world, in order to inform themselves on the state of the meta, overall team strategies/sets, and the strengths and weaknesses of individual players.
I'm struggling to understand what possessed you to claim that they have no idea what they're talking about. Personally, I find the analyst desk to be a source of thought-provoking discussion, and they often help me to conceptualize a match that I just watched in different, interesting way.
Wait are the analysts actually like required to vod reiview games???
I have never seen velly or yinsu ask or bring up any intersting questions/points.
Watching velly interview sen players for the 500th time with the same questions "why is sen so good" "why do you think other teams are worse than you" just makes me think he didnt watch the games at all. When watching them do post game discussions I don't feel like they have any clue what actually happened in the game while if you look at plat chat, sean gares, lothar, or most other anaylsts. They will bring up Certain rounds, Agent compesitions, set plays, etc . These 2 are also probally the 2 most well known analyst's in NA and EMEA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cv5TTQYW06c&t=2s&ab_channel=Upcomer I lost braincells after watching this video of yinsu interviewing tenz. Edit: Im talking about the part where she asks tenz questions about valorant. Just in case anyone misunderstands me and thinks im talking about the section about bts or whatever
Platchat before Iceland:
-Korea will flop
-Brazil will upset, VKS 3rd best team
-EU stronger than NA
-SEA and Japan bad
Yeah, I think that any sort of "analysis" without concrete data like map wins between teams and in-depth first-hand knowledge on individual player strengths is just phony biased takeaways. But it's the same for a lot of industries where "analyst" and "consultant" are just bullshit titles given to people who act like they know what they're talking about (whether they actually do or do not doesn't even matter).
My opinion? The only analysts I will respect in esports are the actual team analysts and coaches that need to back up their research with results, not the media personalities that can say whatever the fk they want.
