so many people on VLR hate watch every CS major xD
"why bo3 not bo5"
"Why same strats since 2014"
"valo will be bigger in the future"
so many threads shitting on CS cuz they got more viewers than masters madrid without drops
are the people hate watching think they are loyal or smth?

Valo will never be bigger as long as Riot keeps favoring LoL. And to be honest, I hope they keep favoring LoL, it's worth it.

yes it should be bo5 but many ppl just coping hard, cs and val are 2 fundamentally different games and ppl have to accept that
even if cs players shit on val, if you shit on cs you are continuing this useless argument. pgl, esl and blast are different from kickoff, masters and champions just accept it

It's actually ridiculous how big LoL is.
The gap between LoL and the next biggest PC esport is a canyon.
It still has its problems in some region (vietnam aware) but the growth in LEC and LCK this year is crazy.

Feel like next year when they fix the schedule and probably add more games, it'll def help valorant out but League is a real sport, rivaling real sports

Exactly. For the past three years they have been increasing their all time viewership by a whole million viewers. Tired of people mentioning LoL's name in the same sentence as CS and Valo.

Somewhat but if you look at the trend in free fire viewership, free fire has fallen down.
I dont know enough about freefire so maybe there is some reasonings behind it.

League on the other hand has has some sought of growth over the past few years, with viewership constantly building upon itself.

CS major beat Masters Madrid by 200k viewers and it's the first cs2 major. This has been the closet the gap has ever been between the two sports.

I like CS as well, but it's very possible that Val overtakes CS soon in viewership. It could even happen at champs this year.

The game gets bigger every year as new teams from different regions get into the game and become successful, ZETA Division getting top 3 in Reykjavik in 2022 created an insanely big fanbase for the game in JP, a region with no history in FPS. Just think what could happen if a KR team or a CN team wins a LAN.

2nd but it was in 2021 I think. It fell off after that especially after it was banned in India where it was like the biggest game. Only if you consider china alone then maybe as far as I know hok is bigger than even lol but it's mobile game.

People are insecure that other people might not like the thing they like so they project that insecurity into talking shit about the other game.

It happens in the exact opposite direction during Masters/Champs.

If you actually had Google then you would know that it was from 2022. The viewership actually fell from then on. That is just embarrassing lol.

However, the recently-concluded FFWS Bangkok had a peak viewership of just 354,000 – a distant figure from the numbers it was achieving just a year back. While a fall in esports viewers is something that many games have seen in 2022, Free Fire’s story is something different. Losing 90 percent of your total viewers can’t just be blamed on a dip in interest or the pandemic ending.

It should be a beheadable crime to mention Free Fire and League in the same breathe.

Would hope they actually favor valo more personally tired of watching two regions dominate always. At least apac gives tough competition against emea and America's every tourney in valo. Also can't fathom how western lol audience is still so big considering how shit their region is for like more than 5 years already.

Who cares what race of people are winning? Europe and South America has been dominating FIFA world cup since forever. The entirety of Asia still loves watching Football and consider it the greatest sport ever

So? I stated my opinion. You lol frog stop dickriding lol too much lol. Also bro compared league to football lol. League never ever reaching the level of basketball let alone football. Also I get what you are trying to say but at least asian teams give a good competition even in fifa unlike league where lower leagues can't do shit

No I won't stop shit. What are you gonna do about it? And I didn't make a comparison? How are you British and this bad at English, or are you one of the workers? Get better at sentence comprehension and then we will talk. I made an analogy. Need me to define that for you worker?

Other than Japan and Korea no Asian team gives a good competition lol. The biggest Asian countries don't even make it to the fucking qualifiers yet they are the biggest supporters of countries like Argentina and Brazil. What are you even talking about?

Depends on the region. In Americas and Asian countries that aren't China and Korea, they favor Valorant.

There's a lot of people playing it, not a lot of people watching it.
