roster that qualified to Masters Tokyo. During that period, he was the IGL, and led the team to a win against EDward Gaming in the FGC Invitational Act 2, as well as a third-place finish the following Act. They went 0-2 at Masters Tokyo, and ASE brought in Zero1 to replace him in future events.
The move was unsuccessful, as they didn't advance past the top-six in the Champions 2023 China Qualifier and Act 1 of the China Evolution Series. Alongside Zero1, YHchen returned to the starting lineup for the following Act. They reached fourth place, eliminated in a close match against

, the current JDG core. The team then finished in the top six of Act 3 after close losses to EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix. Losses to Rare Atom and eventual winners Dragon Ranger Gaming ended their Ascension run.
Upon being selected as partners for the upcoming VCT China league, JDG planned to build a roster with jkuro as their first acquisition. Rare Atom were one of the better teams in the region, their “worst” performance in the Evolution Series being a third-place finish in Act 2. The org was not selected as a partner team, and they were expected to win Ascension.
This did not happen, as they lost 3-1 to Dragon Ranger Gaming in the grand final. JDG scrambled to pick up the roster, largely considered to be the second best team in the region. Unfortunately, the partnership system placed a limit on import players, and they decided to release in-game leader yoman instead of star duelist stew .
As their first signing and with a similar agent pool to yoman, jkuro remained on the team. Without an in-game leader, the team faltered. They were eliminated in the Kickoff group stage, with two losses against Titan Esports Club. TEC advanced to the play-ins, but they went out in sixth place with a 0-2 record. The first seed from their group, Dragon Ranger Gaming, lost 2-0 to FunPlus Phoenix in playoffs.
JDG seek to correct course with this new signing, and return to the heights they achieved with yoman at the helm.
YHchen is expected to debut for JDG against EDward Gaming:
