LEV and BLG? Both lost 2 Bo3 matches in groups and play-in. You can't say they deserve to go to masters.
and I get that the kickoff playoffs had a horrendous single-elim format but all of the teams you said except for EG and NRG, got 2-0'd in the semi-finals.
The teams you said were all beaten fair and square. At some point this becomes insulting to teams like KC, TH, GEN, and others

It's shit format fs but I just mean that not getting to a third map in the semis definitely says something.
and I wont ever blame teams not qualifying on "they had a bad day"
so for that I only agree that NRG or EG may have made things a little different at masters, but in no world is it enough to say this masters was a mickey mouse tournament or the trophy wouldn't mean much

so what is it they threw the map picks? Surely they knew it's only a 3 map series beforehand and had prepared to win at least 1 of the first 2.
2-0 usually means they were outplayed hard in my eyes but I guess I can imagine

2-0 doesn't mean that they don't deserve a chance at double elim dude, you can just jot it down to them already being aware that it's single elim but that still doesn't change anything, double elim will always be the better option if you value competitive integrity

Every international trophy win is the same. Nobody cares what you think. Every team was given an opportunity to reach here. These teams were not pre selected. Stop crying over single elimination in regional semis. In most sports there is no double elimination. So just STFU and watch the tournament if you are interested.

Without double elim EG wouldn't have won champs, OPTIC wouldn't have won their Masters, FPX wouldn't have won their Masters, TL wouldn't have won the EMEA League, etc etc. Double elim is vital :/
