How are we feeling after that NRG loss?
Personally I feel better knowing that another team failed to deliver upto their potential.
Now just hope KC or heretics win Madrid so that we don't have to listen to NA fans yapping throughout the year
TeoEmil [#2]Madrid was 1 map away from being the most cursed event in history. If eg beat loud holy shit 💀. No 2023 front runner rosters from Americas/emea
typically as a fnatic fan i never suffered the fate of a bad tournament format, but holy shit was this a horrid one.
fnatic out after playing 4 maps? the rules are the rules and thus i dont complain, but yeah things could've been a lot more worse without loud.
BurgerMan23 [#3]NRG have the excuse of being a new team while Fnatic just looked trash and regressing every series. EDG WIN MADRID !!!!
yeah i am not asking for NA fans opinion on fnatic. you go suck demon1's cock
ronaldinhoooooooooooo [#4]Guy is still trying to cope the fnatic loss LMAO
????
no team ever didnt lose, right? no one ever has had to cope, right?
Halleluhwah [#5]idk i just feel like LOUD is the most consistent team of all time at least for now regardless of their roster
yes, but that was not the point of my thread
iammika1999 [#8]This is the first time in vct that I would probably not give a fuck about which region wins, this event is gonna be too good for that, all the teams are also really likable and fun to watch to even care
oh no i care, as long as loud dont win, i am fine. KC would be perfect. bring a lot more eyeballs to emea in general
Kk0bra1101 [#13]U do realise KC winning is gonna result in more NA yapping fuel right?
oh i would take that over SEN or Loud winning any day.
and if anything i genuinely like narrate. (as long as he doesnt leave mid season to join americas or some shit)
DelusionalNRGFan [#12]classic emea fans making americas matches about them
how does it feel to have a team that never reaches their potential for 2 years in a row?
rumbledink [#14]has nothing to do with fnatic so I don't really care. I kinda just wanted sen to win so that 0/5 2023 EG players would go to Madrid because it's funny
so you didnt feel anything when fnatic failed to qualify? were you over it so quickly and could watch other valorant games instantly?
thats good
Kk0bra1101 [#13]U do realise KC winning is gonna result in more NA yapping fuel right?
ofc
scenario #1
LOUD/Sentinels win = proof of Americas being the best region
scenario #2
LOUD and Sentinels lose = the lack of teams like PRX, FNATIC, LEV and NRG proves this tournament is mickey mouse and shouldn't be used as a metric to see which region is better, and we should wait for next masters for the real good teams to actually develop
Orangepanda [#16]I just accepted the defeat because there was no new strat and KC was better than us. No excuses
that is a fact, but nrg losing is something that made me feel better.
they have missed madrid, and thus made my valorant viewing experience for march sad.
but i also know fnatic will be coming back way stronger than they were in kickoff, so i dont care too much about "how" they performed at kickoff.
symbols07 [#17]how does it feel to have a team that never reaches their potential for 2 years in a row?
I don't remember seeing Vitality at an International...

i like the things you are saying
symbols07 [#18]so you didnt feel anything when fnatic failed to qualify? were you over it so quickly and could watch other valorant games instantly?

no? I was just saying the nrg game didn't make me feel any differently about it. Fnatic has a lot of work to do and it's maddening that they didn't fix some of this stuff after champs
symbols07 [#15]oh i would take that over SEN or Loud winning any day.
and if anything i genuinely like narrate. (as long as he doesnt leave mid season to join americas or some shit)
That would be of the valorant betrayals of all time
DelusionalNRGFan [#21]I don't remember seeing Vitality at an International...
(you should know about the flag + flair combo pls)
and i dont remeber seeing delusionalNRGFan since 2021, its only when they started becoming good, that you appeared
rumbledink [#23]no? I was just saying the nrg game didn't make me feel any differently about it. Fnatic has a lot of work to do and it's maddening that they didn't fix some of this stuff after champs
i dont think they needed "fixes" rather they needed a lot more new/different strats and comps. and they have to work on that for sure
what my point was , that since our lost to KC, there is precisely 0 things i can do about fnatic other than waiting till april, so the max hype i can feel is by seeing other teams lose.
as a great man once said,
"It's not enough that I should succeed - others should fail"

No, they mostly need to work on playing together as a team. Playing a one-off comp like Loud's phoenix on ascent isn't going to cut it
Kk0bra1101 [#24]That would be of the valorant betrayals of all time
and i am truly scared of seeing that day
honestly i wanted NRG to make it because I like watching marved and demon1 play but zekken is fun too. I hope the next iteration of Fnatic has derke put in more positions to actually frag instead of just making space because he's been being used as what essentially is a human sova drone since Tokyo started last year.
rumbledink [#29]No, they mostly need to work on playing together as a team. Playing a one-off comp like Loud's phoenix on ascent isn't going to cut it
"playing together as a team"
yes that was lacking at kickoff, but they were the best at that the entirety of last year. so its not something they have to develop from scratch, it will honestly comeback to them naturally as they find their right form.
what genuinely needs improvement is their ideas. and honestly i am pushing a lot on this point, since they hardly played 3 maps, we legit didnt see anything from fnatic

yeah , i feel like derke is too often just a sacrificial lamb. they know that they have good firepower and hence they can use derke that way. but honestly if derke gets more support, he can genuinely carry fnatic single handedly on half the maps.
what happens now is fnatic sacrifice derke to take some space and then he dies as a sacrifice. after that alfa and someone clear everyone. derke doesnt get to shine as much.
a combination of 2022 fnatic + 2023 fnatic would be perfect for derke. we need to see derke owning areas of the map. we need to see enemies fearing to go on a certain part of the map, coz they know that they will have to face derke with a lot of support from the other teammates
Rodu [#32]Your a Idiot if you think FNC aren't gonna come back stronger. You alr know NRG LEV FNC and T1 are fucking pissed and hungry for blood. As Hype as madrid is, what comes next may surpass it.
"Your a Idiot if you think FNC aren't gonna come back stronger."
and definitely whats coming next is gonna be a lot more hype than madrid
symbols07 [#35]"Your a Idiot if you think FNC aren't gonna come back stronger."
- never said that
- as a fnatic fan, this is obvious to me. they are gonna be scary when they comeback
and definitely whats coming next is gonna be a lot more hype than madrid
Oh my bad I didnt mean to call u a idiot, i mean to everyone else calling FNC washed. They play some dam good valorant. I wished we got Zellsis sucking dick on stage with boaster throwing it back,

yeah you and everyone else are pushing that point, but their macro and teamplay are more important. Everyone plays the same comp on lotus, the one fnatic invented, so changing that isn't going to make a big difference. And a lot of these "innovative" comps people keep praising will end up being weak because dive is just strong, period.

Demon1 is on the 3rd most popular NA org in valorant but he's who u jump to first lmao

TeoEmil [#2]Madrid was 1 map away from being the most cursed event in history. If eg beat loud holy shit 💀. No 2023 front runner rosters from Americas/emea
I think Madrid is already the most cursed event in VCT history.
How did Gen G win Pacific after almost losing to Team Secret on icebox overtime after a 6HP clutch?
How did Sentinels get so much better and humbled NRG overconfidence even after playing so many maps in groups and play-ins (all available for NRG to antistrat)?
How did Potter managed to win Ascent easily against Loud with such a (respectfully) tier 2 rooster?
And I'm not even gonna talk how absurd it is TH/KC winning against Fnatic and Navi
Basically every roster that we had serious expectations for disappointed us. Lev, NRG, Fnatic, Fut, Navi - All were supposed to, bare minimum, be a top 3 team in the region. I think it shows how well some coaches have done to build their teams correctly and to handle their teams correctly. Rosters with much more established frameworks actually were worse.
Even Paper Rex and EDG, both were supposed to dominate. If you watched them play their matches, it did not look like last year. Maybe it's the magic gone, but these guys all looked way worse than advertised. Again, it's just a thing of the world adapting with these teams just staying the same.
Of course, this excludes Loud who still look like a definite top 4 team in the world. My goat Saadhak would never.
Marshal_D_Teach [#48]Bro thinks he is the main character and everything is about him or fnatic. Its really impressive How every big team has the worst fans in this site
i literally called all the "fnatic fans". i dont care if you bothered to come to this thread. this thread was generally meant for fnatic fans, as said tby the title and if anyone interested in what i actually wrote.
but what do i know, another brazilian who is hyper sensitive, thinking everything is about him or his team when its not. literally calling your own insecurities to attack me. like man, you just mentioned what you think about yourself.

dont think thats entirely right, or wrong. like you said its mostly about other teams and coaches doing better, building better systems.
Even Paper Rex....
i think its more because of how they couldnt really fill the gap jingg left. they did their best and still retained #2 in pacific
overall i still think the best deserving teams made it to madrid, barring one or two

I dont have a team, blud. Your easy answer wont work here. Have some creativity and do your own arguments instead of reflect mine.
capital_d_colon [#53]It doesn't really effect us at all.
Fnatic has already lived up to their potential.
Right now FNC are in a bit of a slump, sometimes you need a setback like this to motivate the team to do better.Me personally, I want to see heretics win madrid. Home crowd + likable squad.
It doesn't really effect us at all.
it doesnt affect us in reality, but it does make you (atleast me) feel a little bit better. honestly when i wrote this thread i was a lot more happy from nrg's loss, but now that you wrote, i am more or less unbothered. it gave me a moment of happiness, and that is something good enough for me.
Right now FNC are in a bit of a slump, sometimes you need a setback like this to motivate the team to do better.
i truly believe in this. there might be threads in mid august about how not making it to madrid was the reason why fnatic became so good.
and yeah i too would definitely love to see heretics win.

winner teams MUST win clutches
they are just overrated, only played against teams like furia and cloud9 and everyone thought they were the best team (i always thought they weren't all that)
easy answer: anti-strats
did you watch the games? they just played and are better bro no secret
symbols07 [#10]yes, but that was not the point of my thread
you asked how do fnatic fans feel like after NRG loss

Nah but if we come into the regular still playing the same garbage I'm gonna lose my sanity
But yeah at least they can now go the rest of the year without fear of burnout and hopefully get that Champions trophy we're missing
