Why is VLR changing the nation of NA based players

Tex - German
Governor - Korean
Ban - Korean
Jawgemo - Cambodian
NiSMO - Lebanese
Several players in Tier 2/3

All of these players were raised in North America and most were born in North America. Having some players flag on VLR represent their ethnic backgrounds and some players their birth country. It just seems inconsistent and confusing.

the actual players get to choose their flag and not vlr. (Based of what users have said in the past)

honest question: Jawgemo and Tex were born in North America? I heard that Jawgemo was born in USA but he has Cambodian descent

Some users have made posts in the past about how they had to choose a flag when being listed on the vlr stats.

But if some users don't sign up to vlr then I think vlr might have to choose for them

^^ basically this

we're not going to force people to use the US flag if they don't want to if they live in the states or deny a request to have another flag displayed because people with multiple nationalities as their family background is very common--I myself am actually half Panamanian but I have my flag as the US one out of choice

also we don't have half and half flags like some other sites
