i have a 75hz monitor rn and i'm thinking about switching. do you guys think it's worthy to buy a 240hz? or 144 is good enough?

Depends on the price difference

Depends on the price difference

considering that brazil's minimum salary is BRL 1.412, a good 240hz is around BRL 1.600 and a good 144hz is BRL 900-1200

75 to 144 is a much bigger upgrade then 144 to 240, but if you can run games at 300 fps, 240 is better. So i would say 144 if you get around 180-230 fps, and 240, if you get 240+.

obv 240hz but it's about whether you can afford it or not. difference between 60 --> 144hz is much much larger than the distance between 144hz to 240hz

240hz as long as ur fps can stay consistently at 300 so u have no delay, but 144 is still way better than 75 and will feel like heaven, whatever fits ur budget

240 is worth it, just don't get ripped off. but u should upgrade as soon as possible, your current refresh rate puts you at a massive disadvantage.

genuine question, does it really make that much of a difference? is there likely to be noticeable improvement in performance on higher refresh rate

if your pc is capable of hitting the target framerate, then yes, you will notice a massive difference. But if you have a shit pc it won't make any difference. The reason for that is because a monitor's refresh rate is how many images can be physically seen per second. If your pc is not even hitting 240 FPS then you aren't gonna physically see 240 frames every second.

240hz only if your pc can consistently get above 240fps

if you go for the 2nd option, theres a chance you might regret not buying the best one, but if you buy the best one you wont have to worry about regretting anything.

depends on what machine are you using now. what is the maximum fps your pc can do

if money isn't a issue just go for 240hz regardless of fps lol, you can always upgrade your pc later
just don't buy those cheap ass 240hz, otherwise a high quality 144hz like benq is better

i can have 144fps+ already, but i intend to upgrade my config to this:
RYZEN 5 7600
ASROCK B650 PG Lightning
HYPERX KINGSTON FURY BEAST 16GB 5200Mhz
HYPERX KINGSTON FURY BEAST 8GB 5200Mhz

Depends on what games you play and yr budget. If valorant only then 1080p 240hz but if you play AAA games then btr to go 1440p 144hz. If you are on a budget then 1080p 144hz

hi refresh rate monitor now are much more cheaper than 3-4 years ago.
my recommendation is viewsonic or aoc. or some specific one from lenovo.
don't get the super pricy samsung, msi or lg.

As a former 75 hz office monitor immo gamer, 240 hz makes everything much easier, I notice things such as my aim is more accurate, everything feels more faster, 144 hz is nice but 240 hz is the golden standard for this game.

Is Hz overrated? I don't think it matters as much as people make it out to

Yeah but if you just stay on 60 Hz you don't really notice how "bad" 60 Hz is.

With a 7600 you can go for 360 hz easily, I have 7600x(basically same cpu but with slightly higher clocks, you can always overclock your 7600 to 5450 mhz and get a stock 7600x performance)+3060ti+32gb ddr5 6000 cl32 and get stable 450+ fps(usually in 550-600 range) with 280+ 1% lows.
