Not even the hardest bracket. NRG have to face LG then C9 if they want to qualify which I doubt. And Soniqs, Ghost, FaZe, and IMT are in the same bracket. And any of them could theoretically pop off. I think TSM do have a hard bracket. But it's because they are just a bad team which makes t2 teams look t1. Which in turn gives them a worse seed which makes them have even worse showings against decent teams.
if tsm loses this what do you think they should do? i know that roster changes arent nessessary with losses, do you think they should swap something with there roster, swap roles, or just keep the same thing and hope that it was just a weird upset? not specifically for this match but for the rest of the open if they lose. want the perspective from a tsm fan bc u prob follow the team more then most ppl shit talking them
there are several things that could cause tsm to lose.
1) bang isn’t the real deal and continues to struggle, despite being more comfortable in TSM’s comp. so obviously tsm would have to look for a replacement.
2) subroza has a bad tournament, which means he still struggles with consistency. he would need to be dropped for the sake of the team and himself (so he can find another team in need of a duelist).
3) hazed loses his consistent fragging power and has stale calls again. so we would at least need to find a new IGL and possibly drop hazed altogether.
4) leviathan struggles, but that’s to be expected.
5) wardell struggles, but he’s our best player and his support staff probably let him down. can’t really cut wardell.
TL;DR it’s likely subroza or hazed get benched
I agree. I feel like they should do the C9 treatment though where they just keep on putting in better talent that is replacing it correctly so they can build a core naturally instead of like it being forced like NRG having too many players replaced too quickly. I think they should honestly cut subroza though first. Because even though he has a brand. Wardell literally can carry as a content creator no matter what because he's such a big figure in the community so they'll never drop him even if he does bad. Subroza. Just is kinda ehh at the moment. His agent pool is too confusing. Either they put him on omen which he actually looked amazing on. But he went back to phoenix for a bit which looks ehh bc he lurks too much. And then he plays lurking skye. Which has too many problems with the meta. He should be dropped if he doesn't look good this tournament honestly. TSM won't even be able to go to LCQ anyways if they fail this time so they might as well just start making changes for Stage 1 next year.
They kinda already are starting the C9 treatment. But what I mean by this is first removing subroza if he does shit. And honestly I wouldn't be surprised. And then wait after the LCQ for an IGL which is probably gonna happen because teams are going to prepare for next year already and then they can start building their core effectively.
TSM made it to the closed qualifier in stage 2 with Cutler and Drone. If the two new recruitments in the form of Bang and Leviathan are upgrades, then they can get through if they click. They've had a couple of weeks to reset and move forward in a new mindset so hopefully they can do well. If Subroza starts doing well again, then maybe TSM can make it to at least closed.
