reborn was the most fun for thanks to adding so many new variables (and borderline insane difficulty curve)

and insurgence when playing with friends who haven't played fangames/romhacks before since its nice and polished

Original diamond on the DS, Infernape would fuck the living shit out of anybody I faced.

B2, Emerald and Soul Silver are my fav. ORAS would've been one of my fav but there were no good emulators I could find at that time. Played alot of rom hacks too.

DS era was the best. The DS is a goated console in general and the animated sprites of BW are so much better than the modern 3D models

idk why nintendo/gamefreak won't make sprite games again

Idk about best, but when I was a kid I played nearly 600 hours of Pokemon Gold. By that point I was just taking my favorite team of 6 and going to fight Red or the Elite Four over and over and over again. My team was all level 100 so there was no real point, but I enjoyed doing it for hundreds of hours apparently.
