Why are so many people obese
believe it or not big corn is a huge lobby in the US and leads to the cheapest foods tending to be ones filled with oils and sugars leading to large sections of the populations less able to regularly have better food options.
drug addicts
goverment has criminalized addiction so people who fall victim to it will turn away from society instead of seeking help and attempting to cure their addiction.

Geography is pretty useless compared to things like math and science
Being good at geography doesn’t really get you anywhere in life and it is literally just memorization
Math and science require critical thinking and problem solving which is actually useful
If you’re good at geography you’re good at memorization imo
Being great at math and science shows that you are actually intelligent imo
1: we use both. I think at one point, there was a plan to switch, but something interrupted it, not too sure what exactly. Most things are imperial units but like whenever I cook I use metric and in my chem classes we use metric and yada yada
2: too many cars, car+oil companies lobbying against developing trains and other public transportation because as long as cars dominant form of transportation they earn lots of money
3: only weirdos usually people who get rich super fast and didn’t grow up having expensive things so they want everyone to know that they have expensive things

4: I don’t like handegg that much, but it’s still a pretty normal sport. Also we call it soccer because the british used to call it that, and America adopted it due to being mostly British in the beginning and never switched away. Racing niche and never met a person that does rodeo. You can’t really say those two are THAT weird though, EU has plenty of weird sports as well.

1) because we have used the same system for so long that its not worth changing
2) because everyone owns a car since the country is SO HUGE and the infrastructure is very conducive to driving.
3) there are still CRAZY rich areas in Hollywood, but we are very lenient with the homeless, so they are a problem in every city.

1: obviously most people for self defense, to protect against getting robbed or whatever idfk
2: the real given reason for that right was to protect the country from outward and inward forces. The amendment was written intending for armed US citizens to be able to protect their country from outside force obviously, but also to give the citizens the power to rebel against a corrupt government that does not maintain their rights
I’m not making any statement on if it should be allowed or not or anything
