EDG 3-0 TBD
To be honest, I highly underestimated RA. I guess I just couldn't bring myself to believe that they would continue to consistently stomp well-established teams (who were not in bad form by any means.) Cheers though, I always like interacting with other commenters, but tbh when I made my original reply to your comment, I was in quite the foul mood. xD
I'm late to this, but here's how I think it will turn out. Logically speaking, EDG should win this one. RA has shown their strengths and power, and I think they're a solid team. However, I just don't think they have what it takes to win against EDG, who has swathes of international experience and a reputation of excellence. Sure, the matches might be close, we might even see OT on a map, but I highly doubt it will be RA's day at all. 3-0 EDG, Chichoo is going to perform.
I have some words I'd like to share with the VLR community. Thank you. I've enjoyed commenting over the course of this tournament immensely, and I've recieved a range of reactions ranging from appreciation to mockery. Statistically speaking, from the 18 predictions I made this tournament, I only got 41.67% of them correct. That means that I am a pretty unreliable predictor, and I acknowledge that. Regardless, I'd like to thank everyone for just being here in general and providing me an audience to continue doing this. I will strive to improve, and I'll set a goal to correctly predict one of the international LAN events. Once again, y'all are great, thank you so much. Toodles!
You're very welcome, but I do hope that you understand that I don't deliberately predict the wrong scores, I'm simply new and rather green when it comes to this activity. I hope that one day my skills will become good enough that you need not to thank me for the wrong predictions but the right ones. Thank you for your patronage.
I would like to amend my original prediction of a 3-0 EDG victory to a 3-1 EDG victory. EDG is very strong on Sunset and I think things won't go the right way for RA; something similar to Breeze might happen where they just cannot cope with EDG's tactics. Of course, I acknowledge the fact that they trounced FPX but I feel like EDG is still the stronger team on this map.
GGs to Rare Atom, they started off very strong and made the first two maps very entertaining to watch. However it definitely seemed like they ran out of steam in the last two maps, the 2v4 on they lost on the initial Breeze pistol round seemed like the true turning point of the set, and EDG never looked back. Will be interested to see how they stack up with the competition in future events, as well as how other teams adjust to them.
