It's unbelievable what Valorant's Head of esports said in an interview. The death of competitive valorant is taking long steps in the medium term. Enjoy Valorant while you can.

The way riot views tier2 is horrible.
They only view the leagues as purely a way for tier 1 to scout developing talent.
“Estamos fazendo algumas mudanças de regras e formatos que levem todos nesta direção de desenvolvimento para as Franquias. O foco é e sempre será o VCT Americas, e esta é a natureza da modalidade”.
I can understand why all the t2 Brazilian orgs were angry.

They are following the OW model. It clearly went wrong, they don't think about the future, they only think about the now. The sadness Valorant has so much competitive potential, it started so well, then this guy comes and ends everything
thiagomds [#9]The franchise players should boycott this shit, if they refuse to play in 1 month riot would fix this mess.
do you really think that the players who are there, comfortable, making a lot of money, are going to open their mouths? obviously not, most there think only of them. its sad but its the reality

if they look to the reality and don't be stupid and selfish yes. Dgzin, mazin, heat, murizzz, jzz, all of them don't have jobs anymore. The next year will be the same.

if they pressure riot refusing to play what riot could do about it? Riot would lose a lot of money and views. The players should support each other.
RandAlThor [#14]You all should see this
I was going to post that link here, but thanks so much for doing it.
heart3 [#11]So this makes it very risky for Orgs to invest in the Tier 2. Well done Leo Faria, it's not like they're aiming to profit, all just charity.
Starting to look like Overwatch League, and man that was hella boring.
Cada entrevista, ou post no "X" é um absurdo diferente que ele fala
bonkashi [#17]theres no way that they havent learned from other esports titles and are carrying on like this
instability in t2 ALWAYS carries over into t1, t1 can't exist without it and thus having it be as sustainable as possible is the best option for the long term healthiness of tier 1 competition
They live in another world apparently. Either the whole community is dumb to not see what they want, or I don't know what they want anymore
