Can he avoid military service by switching countries? If possible, why is he not doing so or does he wants to join military?
lots of reason.
renouncing his singaporean citizenship probably isn’t the best idea. i’m assuming his family lives there and there’s a lot of complications that could arise. i’m sure getting another country’s citizenship isn’t a cakewalk either.
i know in korea, the public doesn’t take too kindly to anybody avoiding mandatory enlistment. you get canceled because you’re avoiding your duty as a citizen, or you’re viewed as getting special treatment .
yes since his mum is Indonesian, but no, sg authorities will doesnt allows him to switch country, he can switch country after that mandatory ns.. also u kinda need to spends some years to live in Indonesia before switching nationality.. its easier to go ns for 2 years than switching nationality, also sg is a rich country with cheap healthcare, cheap high quality educations, and even they have cost living package.. why would anyone choose to switch nationality 🗿
moshimoshiman24 [#3]i dont think u can switch your citizenship like that. i know for league of legends pros in korea they just delay the military service till after they retire, unless u r deft or faker who got some special pass from the government or smth
Winning international accolades gives you a pardon. Reason why Heung Min Son was so focused on winning the Asian Cup last time, so that he doesn't have to keep his epl career at hold.
