I recently started going to the pool to learn to swim. Best decision of my life. The first 2 days were a bit tiring and scary. Once you get used to the water the fear gets away and fun begins. I also learned how to dive. I never thought i could do that. For a few days i tried to take the jump but backed down out of fear, haha. Once you take the jump it's joever. You want to keep jumping, everyday. Also, swimming is a great way to burn fat and increase endurance. I can feel my body getting better.

One con of swimming in a pool is body tanning due to chlorine. Apart from that everything seems to be pros.
Swimming is underrated.

How high do you dive from?
I remember asking my instructor to push me 'cause I was too scared to jump initially from 14 ft high

Some of my friends have very low body fat percentage but still able to swim and float. I think it needs time. It took me some time to backfloat. Front floating is easy. You need to have a bit of air inside your lungs. Don't exhale out all the air. With practice things get better.

The experience you get between the time you jump and the time you land on the water is so thrilling and exhilarating. I still get excited when I dive from so high
You should try that.

Swimming is great to get into but gets very tiring when you try it competitively :)

Your teacher was a chad 🗿 to give you incentive to learn swimming. Not learning to swim after that is unchadly behaviour from you.

You need to push down with your hands to reach above water and start threading water. If you learn to thread then no panic 🗿

used to swim competetively when i was younger. raced in the 500m. Now I can barely swim 500m total, even without flip turns 🗿

3 months is such a short. This is where indoor pools become handy

It's not a sensitivity issue. You need to blow air out through you nose when turning your head.

Yeah I used to swim 12km a day + 1hour workout. Just thinking about it makes me exhausted.

You need to hydrate a lot if you swim and getting a sound sleep is necessary to not feel sleepy and tired.

Hecking love swimming. Started 8 months ago now i can swim all strokes and can swim upto 1km in one session but it tests your patience you have to be consistent to see progress in swimming but all in all it is underrated more people should swim as a daily exercise and stress reliever

Fuck swimming, I became a lil smaller. I guess I should stick to lifting weights at the gym and sitting down when at work

If u need to gain muscles then gym is the way. Swimming is great for cardio and strengthening the upper body. Also very less chance of injury.

Yup. Patience is key and each day is a progress.
