VLR Users being honest about their height challenge: impossible
Mortadelo [#26]Why tf are we using feet
apparently everyone is a freedom fighter in VLR. Me personally I am a metric system kind of guy

Better than metric for height imo
Gap between 5 feet and 6 feet is better expressed than gap between 152cm and 182 cm
horse69 [#63]why does everyone uses feet and inches even when they aren't american
because, those people are fake flaggers..

Yet it's not nearly as accurate because inches are fucking huge, you're just used. Imperial is not better under any circumstance don't fool yourself

Metric is better for precise science but height is something perceived socially by humans eyeballing it. The larger measurement gaps + shorter formatting between varying sizes (feet are closer to inches than cm vs meter) is better for portraying human height
I work in a Stem field so I know full well that in most scientific circumstances metric is better, however this is a vlr height thread not scientific study
Also farenheit >>>>>>>>> celsius for talking about how humans perceive temperature. Celsius is only good for water. And for materials other than water and humans Kelvin slams
Also inches are just as accurate as centimeters lmao. Just add a decimal point as needed

Again, you're just used in your day to day. Ik exactly how tall a guy 1.70 guy is, and you just can't tell me 1.77 1.78 and 1.79 are all 5.8 cause it's just not the fucking same there is a huge difference that needs to be made.
And with that Fahrenheit statement you're giving me the reason on the height. Why does Fahrenheit represent better how we feel temperature? Because it's in a larger scale therefore you can be more accurate. Still, freezing water at 32 degrees and boiling it at 212 should be a crime

Also… farenheit is good for our bodies because it’s designed around how humans perceive temperature. It doesn’t have to do with the precision
Also the temperature that water boils at is irrelevant in almost every single real world scenario. Just turn on the stove lol
Danny [#79]
- Why would you need to know the difference between 1.77 and 1.78? That’s an industinguishable distance if you don’t have a means of measuring.

Yeah no, gonna have to agree to disagree on that one
