if u think csgomegalul is better than valorant... ur stuck in the past... wake up buddy its 2021 not 2015
i like to play csgo way more than valorant, i feel like its easier to carry in csgo than in valorant too.
The main problem with playing valorant is that they run and shoot u alot of times where in csgo the gunplay feels more clean cause oof the pattern sprays and close to non running headshots. Another big problem is having to fill in every match cause u have 3/4 duelist plays that only main one agent.
Still feel like having a especific QUEU for roles would be a great way to solve the instalock problem. plus sentinel/controler/initiator queus would be way shorter cause most players main duelist thinking they are tenz/cned.

illogical bait nt
but csgo is the better game, objectively
i play Valorant because CSGO eventually gets boring, doesn't mean it's a better game tho
pretty sure most pros are just planning on making the streamer transition playing Valorant rather than actually compete to be the best
Val is not really a competitor's game, it has lower skill ceiling and tons of in game mechanics that caters to casuals

WhereTheFkAmI [#13]TO PLAY = VALORANT
TO WATCH = CS
I think the opposite. Valorant is better to watch because there are so many different comp opportunities that make matches funnier and open to surprises. However, csgo is better to play because somebody has to play sentinel in valorant, which creates injustice. Also, csgo is a more realistic game.

I will never understand how people think a game with skill based agents, and a huge array of changing utility, has a lower skill ceiling than a game that’s just a shooter.
It’s probably the most commonly accepted 0 head take on the Valorant v Csgo argument.
Valorant isn’t anywhere near its skill ceiling. You think people have “Mastered” these agents? Lul

Let’s just forget that Valorant has over 30 skills to master, but yeah... your “Nade lineups” require more skill.

What are you talking about? So the same applies for Dota and lol, yet lol is the bigger and more successfull game, your point is invalid. Valorant is more beginner friendly, has less cheaters, the agents make each match unique and the company behind the game is miles ahead and is way better.

what makes you think utilities in valorant are hard tho?
pretty much every utility in the game is a dumbed down version of csgo's mollies, smoke, flash, grenades.
molly? non-extinguishable mollies
smoke? point and click smokes that's a sphere and hallow center
flash? point and click, left and right, a bird, very high skill
grenades? nothing to say about it, just chuck it?
pretty much every agent only has to worry about 1-2 abilities, while csgo everyone has 4 grenades, can pick up more, needs line ups, do I need to add more?
pretty much in every single way valorant's a dumbed down version of csgo, mechanics, utilities, maps, every way

it's unique to eyes of casuals i guess
the meta in the game is really boring. At the top level (or even decent MM level) there are must pick agents for maps (i.e. viper on breeze, icebox, sova/skye on same maps) that makes it so the game has the depth of a puddle
moreover, it's same way to approach every map once you've played it a while. Maps are much lower quality than CSGO, Ascent is the only decent map
and by your definition Minecraft and Fortnite is better than every game, it's bigger and more successful right? lol
you need better education sir

Not at all, fortnite is dead, minecraft is a genre of it's own, there's no competition there. About the comps, even in the pro levels they change a lot, most of them has "must pick" agents, but when picks and bans gets introduced, this will change, still on Ranked and MM people just play the agent they want, there's not must picks by agent, onlye by function, every match is different.
FireII [#27]i hate gunplay in valorant, but i like everything else about valorant better. im way better at csgo than valorant, but its not fun and requires a lot more dedication from a casual player
I feel like Valorant requires more dedication because of the meta changes.
In cs you need to learn "a lot of line-ups" ? oh , really ? nade line-ups ?
Look at million possible sova recons and double shocks, viper molly, brim molly, kj , kay/o, even raze roomba has line-ups. What are u even talking about ? lmao
How is "line-ups" even a decent point here ? I've started playing shooters from cs 1.5, was semi-pro in 1.6 and had 2800 elo in cs:go, but you just have to accept the fact that valve dont give a single fuck about balancing, changing stuff etc and in the long run valorant is gonna win and cs will eventually die, give valorant one more year and see how most of cs:go pros are switching to valo :)

I'm struggling to understand how you think CS would die when it was virtually untouched with no valve sponsored tournaments from 2000-2012 except a few updates(2005 being the last, until p48 in 2009 and then a few more) here and there most of which kinda broke the game's movement.
LouBag [#25]Let’s just forget that Valorant has over 30 skills to master, but yeah... your “Nade lineups” require more skill.
In Paladins there's over 30 champions, there's about 4-5 each ability that means 150 skills to master yet someone like Bonkar who mastered the game struggle in Valorant which means even if there's more skill usage in terms of power ups, ultimates and flashes means does not mean it is a more skilled game.
fatedhate [#38]I feel like Valorant requires more dedication because of the meta changes.
i mean like, abilities are very simple, like for a smoke in valorant you go into another dimension to put it down, or you have an ipad, but in cs, u need lineups for each spot. same with flashes

if lineups is one of your biggest arguments your clearly delusional. Utility doesn't have to be revolved around lineups to be hard. What about countering all the different utility combinations? IMO lineups doesn't even make a game good (its just tedious and really brings nothing to a game) and secondly you clearly haven't watched or played Valorant or you would understand the post plant meta, which is built around lineups

your only take away is lineups after I explained how every aspect of the game is dumbed down? lol
line ups increase the skill ceiling of the game, like it or not
and its not just line ups, its how you can counter those line ups that add the actual depth
in CS you can body block a lineup, you can know where someone is by where they thrown a nade, and mollies actually get cancelled by smokes
if you still don't get how much better that is than what is currently in valorant, then its pointless explaining it to you because you don't even understand basic game mechanics to appreciate ones that have depth vs. ones that dont
valorant: can't block smokes, smokes have no indicator of where its thrown from, can't cancel mollies. Some of these are devs catering to casuals, some of these are limitations of the game engine, and some are just pure oversight from a balnace/design perspective. One things for sure though, they detract from the game's depth at the end of the day.

+1. i mean i like valorant, but
csgo and val r both far from perfect. and we still cant watch our replays in 1yo+ game like wtf man))))))
i dont like csgo mechanics, this crabwalking crouching shooting spraying all the time makes me sad. valorant mechanics arent better sadly
i really enjoy conception of valorant, this agents and other shit. but mechanically this game is way way far from being great.
and yes i feel like without riot support it should be dead months ago. i can say the same bout 2012 csgo tho too. valve push it hard in 2012+

The only aspects you explained is utility. I'm not arguing that there's differences between the games and that there are better mechanics in each game. I just disagree that lineups increase the skill ceiling (or at least in a meaningful way). There's just as many lineups in valorant as csgo. Val is definitely more catered to casuals (in its design) but I think lots of people just take that argument and run with and fail to realize that the areas where valorant is different than csgo is where the skill ceiling is. Basically comparing the skill ceilings of valorant to csgo is comparing apples to oranges.
bolardo [#19]is the truth accep it, imagine valorant owned by ubisoft, would be dead already, because csgo is much better and valorant is like a bad copy, pros only playing cause riot owning it
now imagine if CSGO owned by ubisoft. It would be dead years ago.

it was 1.6, it was a true competition only for the win, u know that. money was not on the first place. gettin to tier1 team was super hard and money even on tier1 wasnt great. golden times and imo 2009-2011 skillcap was insanely, insanely high
imo i can see cs dying in this world we live in
ShiningTyGuy [#47]was there any real competition than? come on use your brain man
if u dont know why u ask? 1.6 2007-2012 years were insanely competitive and skillcap was superb.
its not enough to use brain, if u didnt play atleast at semipro level in 1.6 ull never understand how hard and competitive it was
im not sayin 1.6 have a higher skillcap ever, im pretty sure its a close thing and obviously now players have a better understanding of the game, its part of a progress, but sayin 2007-2012 wasnt competitive is just retarded

Im talking about the game having actual competition with other games, Like CSGO and Val now. He said CS went virtually untouched with no valve sponsored tournaments from 2000-2012. Usually games that don't have competition with other games remain successful. C'mon man use your brain.

i didnt say that, it wasnt my post ;)) i get u wrong, sorry
well 1.6 competitor kinda was cs source. valve hatin that 1.6 was untouchable competitive shooter so they make cs source and actually use a lot of money to push it. but 1.6 players start hatin source. (just like now csgo players hatin val) and main cssource region was NA actually (just like now in val). kinda ironic

how do u even say a game is better 'objectively'? What is your metric on saying that CSGO is objectively better than valorant? Unless you have some personal opinion which you think that makes CSGO better than Valorant, but that makes it 'subjectively' better, not objectively
wutfacelulkappa4headxd [#44]yeah if you think there aren't must pick agents then you haven't been paying attention to pro games or play at a high level :/
No, I said at professional levels there are must picks, but not in ranked. I'm immortal and I'm pretty sure of what I'm talking about, people just play what they want to play, I've seen brimstones, breaches, and lot's of Yorus all the time.
